I’m not brave enough to start a non auto. that’s why I went with an auto. I wish they had a seed exchange where you could trade seeds. I really want to get my hands on a couple gorilla glue without having to pop 90 bones on 5 seeds.
There are places to get one or 2 seeds. Im not going to say who since we are on the ilgm forum, but just look a little harder.
Photos are much more forgiving. If you screw something up, you have time to recover.
I wish ILGM would offer that! I’d never go anywhere else.
Thats the truth for real. Or a make your own mixpack stuff. Their genetics are solid though. You get what you pay for, in all aspects of life haha
Sprouted today. Relief at last. Daphne a little stronger than Velma but the Daphne was the one I gave a little assistance to a day prior so I’m thinking Velma will be right as rain come morning. Re-Homed the girls in their peat pellet to a solo cup, and back filled with Fox Farm organic, ported for drainage of course, little water and in the tent. I’ll take pics in the am to see how their doing. So far, so good!
Awesome news!
Ok so here’s where they are. As I mentioned I watered yesterday the solo enough to get drainage from the solo cup and no more, top soil around stem is damp but not saturated so I figure another water tomorrow after work will be 2 days. Velma is starting to open up, I guess she was a little shy but she came out of her seed finally.
Just got the super soil today I mentioned in earlier post. May try one with and one without, haven’t decided yet but reviews were good but is a little pricey at $21 for a 1lb bag.
Good luck with your new equipment and your grow.
So I woke up this morning, or rather woken up, (thunder storms) and noticed it last night but my slower girl Velma has her new leaves coming through but under the light look brown while Daphne’s are solid green, granted she sprouted a day earlier than Velma, but when I look at them both outside the tent they are the same solid healthy green… any clue what that may be??? I’m thinking since Daphne sprouted first under the CFL I may have just not noticed it once’s they moved to the tent but as far as I can tell both look healthy. Thoughts??
…also, when would be an optimal time to move them to their forever pots? My biggest fear is over watering. I don’t want them to move to early and risk overwatering the surrounding soil but at the same time I don’t want them to get so rooted in the solo cup either. I read different recommendations but really would like to find a balance of a root system that they can move before veg.
It’s easier if you plant them in clear solo cups so you can monitor root growth. You just put the clear solo cup in an opaque cup to stop lights getting to roots. Since you can’t monitor the roots, the next guesstimate would be to transplant when the leaves reach the edge of the cup. You want to give them time to build a good root mass so when you do transplant, the roots hold the dirt together
Most say to transplant whenever the leaves reach the outside edge of the cup. But with auto flowers you may want to transplant a bit earlier so as to not disturb the roots touching and handling them. Or breaking them off. I transplanted my wwa whenever they were 10 days old into their 5gal pots. Just let your soil dry and harden up a bit before hand. And dust the hole and root ball with whatever myco your using. Thats what I did anyways and they never missed a beat.
This is my slower girl. She looks odd but still bright green and trying to grow more leaves, is she ok or no?? She’s been on same everything as the other but just not looking right
So I’m not superstitious but I read how some plants or earns can be great companions to our girls when they are young and with a little lavender love, in less than a day she bounced back.
Well I may of spoke to soon on Velma, she still hanging in their but she got wavy leaves and just not sure why. My other girl is doing great.
Can anyone tell me what the little brown spots are on Velma? I think it was overwatering so I backed off and she seems to be doing better.
Any chance you may have gotten some drips of water on the leaves?
