Fimming purple kush auto

I think i might be running into an issue here but I’m not sure.
The leaves will turn yellow then red purple. or the leaves will dry up and die. They been falling off on their own.
My lights on max and about 16 in from canopy. Ts1000 by marshydro. Not the best. Trying to keep the temps around 75. I’ve been giving her a flowering tea every 2 weeks. The ppm of the tea is like 1100. Ph is 6.5… soil ph is 6.6.

Just this tea or nutrients as well? What’s your run off numbers?

Haven’t really checked runoff for ppm. I kinda gave up on it because i always seen a higher number come out the runoff. I figured it was the subcool soil that was showing the higher ppm but I wasn’t sure. I was probably doing it wrong but. Idk. If there is a preferred method of getting an accurate reading I’ll try it.

Testing run off is important when issues pop up. It lets you know what’s going on under the surface. Testing the run off is the same as testing your nutrient solution. Water or feed enough so that approximately 20% runs out the bottom of the pot and collect a sample after about a cup has come out. Check the PH and PPMs. Run off should be less than what you’re putting in for PPMS and the PH should be the same or a slight difference of what’s going in.

I’ll have to try again next time i water. I just watered her yesterday and last night i started the tea for fridays feeding. I could check it then. But should i feed the tea then wait a bit give her more water to get runoff or try it on a day i only give her water.?

I would stop the tea feeding. What base nutrients are you using?

Water only day, that will give you a more accurate reading of the soil versus adding something

There’s a picture earlier on of the recipe i use but this is what i got brewing now.
Down to earth nutrients 2 tbsp alfalfa meal 2 tbsp kelp meal 1 tbsp sea bird guano 2 cups worm castings eye ball like a ¼cup honey and a couple blended banana peel in a sachet and Aerating for 2 to 3 days. 4 gal water in a 5 gal bucket. I’ve been doing this every 2 weeks since flower started. Also at the beginning of flower i added fish bone meal as a top feeding. I think it was 1½tbsp. I went half what the box recommended. Type of slow release over the next couple months figured that’s about what the auto life is so. Been doing good untill like a couple weeks ago when i added a little worm castings to the top soil. I think that is what i did wrong.

I’m not seeing any of the essential nutrients like nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. The Potassium and Phosphorus are essential for particular during the flower stage. The worm castings have some nitrogen but not enough, that tea with the cucumber maybe supplying some potassium but without a way to know specifically how much it should be used as a supplement. The Base NPK should be used through the whole grow :love_you_gesture:

Are you running a hydro bubble bucket and a soil medium at the same time? I’m confused on this set up??

Yes. The hydro bucket (sounds cooler) tea brews for 2 or 3 days and it’s ready to go. I add this to the soil. Sea bird guano has high phosphorus the others are more for the bacteria building up I think. I looked up that banana peel has high potassium if brewed for a few days. Idk
I’m also knew to the super soils. Bought into the subcool because my buddy was doing it and he had good looking results. I ran it the first time but i wasn’t adding anything in flower. So this run i was looking around found that 420scene guy. Used his recipe and I added the banana. Good looking results until i added the extra castings like a week or so later the yellowing started. Maybe i should flush but i would hate to wash out the good bacteria if there’s any in there. Haha.

@OGIncognito thank you for your service.
And I’ll take any suggestions. I want to learn living soils and grow big buds and show them off here.

Thanks for the tag @OGIncognito , hi Grass, I’m using a premixed product called Earth dust it’s all organic dry amendments all measured out in a mix you pretty much mix it in some decent organic soil and it gives you what you need to go water only plus a couple top dressings for flower. If you want to check it out it’s sold by thegreensunshineco dot you know what. I started using this stuff as a temporary thing while I was learning how to build my own soil and grow but that was nearly two years ago and I have no want to switch to something else, this is the easiest and cheapest way I’ve ever grown weed. If you want to see what I’m doing click on Homer then again on my featured topic and you will be magically teleported over to my place :grinning: good luck :+1: if I can help you out just holler I’ll try to answer what you got

Ok update. Not good looking.
Idk if i got enough water for the runoff to test. It was only 2 cups back maybe.
Ph is 6.2
Ppm is 5130 :flushed:
Vivosun combo. I’ll look into calibrating the etc one. I’ve got a bunch of ph packets and i weekly calibrate the ph 1. But i haven’t changed the numbers of the water i give it. It’s usually 6.6 water. I must have messed up somewhere but is it fixable this late into flower. My instinct right now says to give it 7.2 ph water in hopes it goes up a bit but idk but i don’t want to over water it.
Why is the ppm so high?
I have the subcool supersoil mix in the ⅓ layering. The mix is done with ffhf. About an inch of perlite on the bottom with airpump and air stone in the perlite. Idk what to do guys. The leaves are just dying up. And the nug leaves look to be doing the same. I gotta bring up the ph right?

How long in flower? Do you feed or water to run off each time? High run off numbers are usually indicate a salt/mineral build up in the root zone. Watering or feeding to at least 20% run off helps expel these un-used salts and minerals. Curious on the flowering time, some of the leaves look like natural coloring and some canabilization :love_you_gesture:

She’s been in flower since feb 19th. So week 6ish. I don’t usually water to runoff at least not a lot. I’ll give her enough water till i see a little start to run but not much more then that. I’ll start to do it more though.

I would water feed only PHd to 6.8 to get back in that 6.5 range and lower those PPMS on watering days without nutrients and test each run off to make sure it’s dropping. Dolomite lime will help raise and stabilize soil PH :love_you_gesture:
