I am also curious about those. My municipal water in not treated well water and has an EC of 120 so I am not that worried about mine.
I grow in a 4x4 tent so not a huge operation. I don’t know if people growing my size use the $200 systems from Amazon or what. If they are you can install your self pretty easily.

That one says it produces 2 gallons an hour so might want to get one with a tank so it can produce and store it before you need it.
Thanks for the foresight but im ok with waiting a lil bit, I like that i can attach it to a small wood backboard and hook it up to any water line in the bathroom by my grow, maybe i can use the facet adapter and hook it up to the faucet myself ( we shall see)., use it, then hide it when im done, im only doing small closet grows. So, i think i should be good… ??? …
