Probably dumb question but are feminized seeds also auto flowering and vice versa?

Welcome to the forum.
Most seeds of both types (auto and photo) are available as feminized. There is no relationship between autos and feminized. Photoperiod seeds are also often feminized.

No , they are different.
An Auto will begin flowering under any lighting conditions. Can even flower under a light thats on 24/7
They can be male or female, but most seed banks just sell female seeds. The autoflower gene comes from a subspecies of cannabis called ruderalis and is bred into high THC plants.
Feminized seeds are made by forcing a Female plant to grow male flowers. Basically forcing the plant to become a hermaphrodite chemically and using that pollen to make seeds. Since the pollen comes from a Female plant it has no genetic ability to produce male seeds. So the seeds produced this way will grow female plants. So Auto feminized is an autoflowing plant that has had the same process to produce feminized seeds.
The other type of plant is referred to as Photo Period and will only start to flower when lights scheduled for a 12on 12off hourly period.
