I have 2 VIVOSUN tent kits and both use the VIVOSUN E42A controllers. One controller worked good for a year and a half the other is new. Nether now Will stay working. They drop WIFI and function are all screwed up. Called VIVOSUN customer service and they are vary unhelpful . So what Im wondering is there any other controllers out there that will control Vivojunk fans and lights that are good from other companies.
You could use an AC Infinity controller to run the light with an adapter cable. Or you can run anything using the UIS control plugs.
Fresh from the google:
Yes, AC Infinity controllers and devices utilize a proprietary variant of USB-C called UIS™, making them compatible with each other and requiring no adapters for direct connection.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:
- UIS™ Connector:
AC Infinity’s ecosystem uses UIS™ connectors, which are a proprietary variant of USB-C.
- Interchangeability:
All of AC Infinity’s latest UIS controllers and devices follow the same standard protocol, allowing them to be used interchangeably.
- Adapters for Older Devices:
If you have older Molex-connector fans, you can use a Molex-to-UIS Adapter Dongle to connect them to newer UIS-connector controllers. Conversely, if you have newer UIS-connector fans, you can use a UIS-to-Molex Adapter Dongle to connect them to older Molex-connector controllers.
-
Examples of UIS™ Devices:
- Controllers: CONTROLLER 69, CONTROLLER 69 PRO, CONTROLLER 69 PRO+, CONTROLLER AI+
- Fans: AIRBLAZE Series, AIRLIFT Series, AIRTITAN Series, CLOUDLINE Series, CLOUDLIFT Series, CLOUDRAY Series, CLOUDWAY Series
- Other: CLOUDFORGE Series (Smart Humidifiers), IONBEAM Series (LED Grow Light Bars), IONBOARD Series (LED Grow Lights), IONFRAME Series (Commercial LED Grow Lights), TERRAFORM Series (Air Conditioners), THERMOFORGE Series (Smart Heaters)
Not sure if you’d consider but if the fan has decent controls of its own I would consider using that and getting $10 analog timer. Less stuff to buy and less to fail.
I like govee smart plugs you can controll them from an app on your phone just set the on and off times and you’re good to go even if they disconnect from WI-FI they still turn on and off automatically at the set time I use them for my lights
I use them too on heat source and humidifier right now but also running a light in my room and control my entire stereo system. Love them.
