Fabric grow bag questions?

It looks and sounds like you need water. Test the weight by lifting, water and see if the plant recovers. If it does, you now know how light it is when it is thirsty.

Be sure to water slowly and completely then let it dry before doing it again. When you water slowly the soil will absorb the water rather than it just running through.

I cut a whole in my wall and built a 1.5x3x4 nook for my ac, fan and humidifer to set in. Now it frees up another pot base and i can fit four 5 gallon self watering bases and pots in here!:metal::metal:

I haven’t ever used soil. Just coco. I know that with it. When I transplant. I need a few weeks at the least to get the roots to grow out. other wise. They are going to just want to grow straight down. leaving a plant that will easily start leaning. I switched to just the coco with out the clay balls awhile ago. I have the golf balls in most of the pots this grow. No real difference with or with out them here. You plants are looking great there. :+1:

Both of these are in the same soil mixture, but the one that is reaching for the sky, i have already had to fill the base twice since i placed them. The one that looks sad, seems to not be absorbing water as rapidly as the happy plant, and the pot base feels light compared to the other.

I am super interested in hydroponics! I may try that after a few cracks at this method!

I did some trimming, and moved the light away a little bit. Is it ok to move the light this much? Before i had the light about 18 inches, now its at about 3 ft away.

I put as much light as I can on my plants.

So the light closer? Or is further away making more light for it? I assume the closer the light the brighter it seems to the plants?

That is correct. I set my lights using a PAR meter. I shoot for a ppfd of over 900.

I would move the lights much closer. Just not so close that the heat of the lights is felt by the plants.

I have it close to about a foot away now🤘

That is how I would do it.

I downloaded the LUX light meter for my phone and tested the light.

It said right at leaf level it is 107,194LUX/8850.4FC

Is this ok?

I don’t know…PAR is the measure of light that plants respond to. LUX is the measure of light the people can see.

I use a quantum sensor PAR meter for my light measurements and to set my light heights.

Perhaps @kaptain3d @kellydans @Oldguy @OGIncognito or @dbrn32 can answer that.

I downloaded a ppfd meter and it said at light level is was 1850ppfd roughly (not so steady hands) at the center of the light, at leaf level

That number seems to be very, very high. I suspect that the conversion is incorrect. We will see what others have to say.

My readings with a PAR meter run from 850 at the SCROG screen to 1600 at the tops of colas late in flower. The sun puts out 2000 to 2200 ppfd mid day.

Take your ppfd app outside and see what reading you get from the sun.

It was saying it was around ppfd in direct sunlight was 2250ish.

Here are a few more info lics about my light if it helps?

What is the wattage on the name plate? How much current does it draw at 120 volts?

Thanks for the tag Monsieur @merlin44 , but that stuff is all magical to me
For anything light related, my references are @dbrn32 and @Low.
