Howdy y’all. I have a few BlueDream girls vegging - I am curious, what methods of training are most successful for this strain? Ive read they like to grow tall.
I have topped them once so far. They are about 6 weeks old, from seed. Doing very well.
Most of my grow experience is outdoors. Top & lollipop & defoliate is what I’m used to…
grown 3 times and do as you, I never have trouble in my 4x4x80 tent I start flowering at 24”- 30”
I’m growing 3 now they’re a month into flower today. I did a 8 top manifold on them and they responded nicely and are doing great.
Edit = I did have a bit of trouble with them early on for whatever reason they just couldn’t take the lights every time I turned them up the top leaves would taco. I know I’ve grown them before but didn’t start keeping good notes until a couple years ago and can’t remember if I had the same problem back then but back then I was running blurple lights and it was hard to give anything to much light with the ones I had
Had 2 plants in a 4x4x8 and one was a Blue Dream. It took OVER the Sour Diesel. To keep the canopy even, I was constantly tying her down.
Just took this pic. The first 2 closest to you on the right and the far back center are the blue dream the one in the back is on a 4" box to bring it up to height with the others not sure why she’s short. All 8 plants in here are 8 top manifolds
@Chasfitter thanks for the confidence Can’t wait to see these girls go!
@Caligurl Beautiful plants! That girl is a beast ( last pic )
@MeEasy Wow! My your tent is nice & flowery!
Pardon my ignorance… what do you mean when you say the plants are 8 top manifolds
So much to learn - I Love it
Thanks @BHardcore a manifold it’s a training technique that you form a manifold where the main stem goes into two branches at the same node/level and branch from the two equally on both sides. Here’s a couple examples
@BHardcore I had to come back and correct myself, I use a single node I’ve seen other people use multiple. Another name for it is main-lining, if you look up the name on the picture or the way I do mine is more like a lady called Nebulahaze from growweedeasy. If you check them out they explain it better than I could on here
