I’ve never seen this before, does anyone know what causes it? I’ve seen it on 2 plants with 7 blades leaves with a si vulgar extra blade coming right out the middle at the bottom , so likely not a mutation but more likely an environmental response
That’s common. It’s giving you the finger already. Good genetics. I’ve had fat indicas grow 15 fingers in two rows to fit.
So far I’ve been lucky in the genetics department, great plants, topped 1 and got 6 mains, 4 on its sibling , It’s my first grow so I only bought from breeders I’d seen others grow
The diesel has the 8 finger leaves, the banana blaze has 10 finger leaves, most leaves are normal but they also went straight from 3 to 7 blades so they are doing weird things lol
3 to 7 jump doesn’t mean anything other than happy and stress free. Good job
Edit: it took me forever (35 yrs) to break 12 fingers. The 15 fingers was from running old school stock genetics.
The little guy is the one currently flipping us off, the one on the bottom left had the 10 blade leaves
Appreciate it man I worked my butt off on research I’m determined to nail it on the first go and always improve from there, I made a few early mistakes, lost a couple seedlings but I’m figuring it out, I’m super stoked to see how they turn out, also I’ve got a jar of a pheno hunt from the 70s waiting to be hunted again ![]()
Every grow only gets better n better. You’re off to a great start, and I hope you continue to update this journal.
I’ll start an actual journal, this was just a “ mutations” topic , I’ll be moving to a 5 by 5 so I’m topping ( as you can probably tell) all but 1 I’m sure I’ll have more updates
