Ok guys and gals - I’m in the start of my 7th wk in flower and I wake up to a dark grow frm – aghhhhh!!!

My 600w hps bulb blew – so the only lite I could fall on was my veg – I know that I should have the yellows and reds now for my baby’s blooms but will they be that fckd up? They’re nice and fat now – my grow is 5x6x7 and buds wall to wall.

I believe that this is my last wk and will give a final feed and flush but if not will the veg lite have that much affect ? …

Hi Motaman, I dont think you need to worry too much, Some indoor growers like to finish the last 2 weeks under metal halides as it is supposed to help with terpene and resin production. Good luck with your grow. cheers Mountainman 1

@mountainman1 @Liljoe I’m at the finish line. It’s taking a wile to get some amber. Could I switch to my mh bulb or should I leave it alone?? Sorry to jump in on your thread @MotaMan

Alot of people do recommend going from hps back to m/h for last 2 weeks of flower. Not sure the specific reason or reasons for it and I always run m/h and hps from veg to bloom. @dbrn32 may have some insight on the subject, he is now tagged so lets see what he has to say. He is the man to ask about the lighting stuff.

Plant response to blue light shown to assist in putting on the frost is the reason.

You have nothing to lose by switching back to metal halide… Tests by California light works has shown an increase in terpene levels and resin production when white light is increased during the final ripening phase. Cheers Mountainman1

All are welcome on the forum – yes a blessing in disguise – just gave the last feed… hairs startin to orange , some clouding , but some still crystal clear - resin beads.

1 - 2 more weeks as I see it, hopefully 1 wk… wish me luck…

Just received my new bulbs - veg / flower… But I digress for there is now no present need. Harvest is today. Have deliberately kept window in grow rooms outer room to drive temps down during sleepy time for the last week.
It seems to have some increase in resin, for the feel of autumn is (artificially) in the air! They are cloudy enough and ready for the pull. Thumbs up .
