EC PPM TDS help

Hey all,

I have just purchased the HM com-100 and the instruction booklet just broke my brain :exploding_head:.

I want to first test my tap water ppm. Do i check it at 0.5 or 0.7 scale? I don’t even know if am asking a question that makes sense.

If there are any threads on this could someone please link me? Any help will be much appreciated!

Thankyou!!!

Do i need to calibrate the temperature on the meter before hand? As in the air temperature?

I dont think the temp needs calibration. I didnt have to calibrate any I have.
Calibration is usually for ph meters

Thanks again. I tested my tap water and it states 199ppm. I think i read under 200ppm is ok for a starting point. What do you think?
Cheers

That will work just be sure to sit water out for 24 hrs before use to dissipate the chlorine if it is municipal (city)water.

So its as simple as that then? The com-100 is ready to use straight out of the box, no calibration solutions needed?

If it needs calibration for anything the directions will say so. And it would come with solutions to calibrate. Which is usually for ph meters.
