The MCT oil is used as a carrier oil. You want the fats to help in the absorption process.
Understood. Iām ordering the capsules and oil today and gonna give this a try. Thanks!
They sell little capsule holders for a few bucks, do yourself a favor ![]()

Tabasco or Texas Pete makes everything taste better ![]()
Not even my beloved Texas Pete could turn an MRE around for me ![]()
Iāll never forget my very first one in BT. Dehydrated pork Patty. ![]()
.
that and the beef patty were 2 of my favorites, mixed them with ramen. Chicken ala
was the worst ![]()
I wanna try one of those pattyās now. We used to buy the MREās to take camping, but they must not be the same ones theyāre giving you in the field, because they would come out just fine. Didnāt have to be starving to choke it down or nothing!
Theyāve improved through the years. The early 80ās they were the horrible and took everything to choke one down ![]()
In the early 80ās all I had to worry about was cereal and cartoons. ![]()
I kinda like them. BUT⦠I had 3 hots daily. Have to love Navy. Here is latest cake. Half runtz punch/devils crack olive oil. The oil is nutty and edible from a spoon. No yucky taste at all. Was a good infusion.
Laid me out last night.
back in the late 60ās & early 70ās they came with a little can opener I think its called a P3 didnāt like the MREās but beat hunger. Still have a P3 in my drawers somewhere.
Hoping this is cabinet drawers and not your wranglers. ![]()
Looks delicious @Storm i just got home from work and could really go for one of your brownies right now!
Lol. Only if you are done for the day. A whole serving of this cake is DOOM!!
Oh yes, the MREs of today are nothing like the crap they tried to feed us in the 80s. The tan bags are the new ones. The old ones were dark brown I think.
Just about everything was dehydrated. It was nasty!!!
I had barely had fast food in my life before Basic, let alone
food. We were poor and all we really ate was what we grew or raised. Lol, go figure, poor was healthy once upon a time ![]()
I didnāt know what I was looking at
. To say the least, I ate a whole lot of crackers and peanut butter!
The lovely pork patty
The ol P38. We still have several of them. I have a large one somewhere, that I swiped from the mess section
Looks tasty Storm! Iām with JB, a piece of that would be perfect right now ![]()
Yeppers. My time there. 80-84. 2 of my kids serve or served. Son just made chiefā¦8yrs. Daughter Chairforce 10. The MRE she gave me are outstanding. Dad used to bring home the green cans from korea. He kept the cigsā¦we got the chocolate and cans of mystery stuff.
Lol, wasnāt the chocolate supposed to be xlax? That was always the rumor ![]()
Oh yeah, they improved. I still wouldnāt eat them. Iād take one just in case I found myself starvingā¦ā¦but I never got hungry enough. That stuff has like a 50 year shelf lifeā¦ā¦I didnāt want all those preservatives and crap in my body.
Nice!! Chief? What branch? Navy? I retired as a CW4 (chief) Army
Navy. He will be career sailor. Chief in 8 is FAST. He made board for LDO commission same time as chief. They decide January.
