Earth Worms in my pot?

Can I put small earth worms that I find outside, in my potting soil to help it? I dont want to do any harm.

Not bad but there are ways to kill worms, by mistake. Its a commitment are you willing to feed and water accordingly. Think like a worm  :worm: the right worms. a days’ reading on what they like I suggest… then make your move.
I say no point unless youre going no-till and use them for aeration and soil conditioning.

Dont see a need unless your a die hard organic person. I mean i would rather add worm castings personally. As far as improved aeration and such, fabric pots can work wonders. Alot of different ways to the finish line.

Red wigglers seem to be more at home than European night crawlers in pots
Pot size is also a consideration the bigger the pot the easier to keep them happy.
Chemical growing I wouldn’t bother.
You have to keep the topsoil moist all the time as reds like moisture and mushy things just like in a worm bin…

Good luck

I have had worms in my living soil for couple of years. Used fishing worms but not canadian needing cold. I reuse the soil and they are still alive after many reuses. They eat the organics and poop out goodies. Aerate the soil. I lovem.
