I would just like to get some feeding ratio recommendations as to what to feed them exactly, i know i should keep going with more bloom nutes now then veg, my lst work is atrocious (1st timer) and no i didnt really defoliate at all up to this point except qccidents and old old leafs, i have 5 plants, (middle is hard to see, i have tops that have pretty good pistils development on them as well. I would also like to know how do people figure out exactly how much ppm youre mixing, such as a chart saying use only 800 ppm by week 7 how can i figure out how much 800 ppm is in the form of ml per bottle? all three nutrients (NPK) to get a total in the form of ml cause thats how im measuring. basicslly i wanna figure it out backwards like how much ml of so and so to get this many ppm, hope i explained that well.
Almost impossible to say “add this much of “x” to get “y” PPM”. You need a good quality, pen type PPM/EC meter (like Blue Labs or Apera). You may get to a point where you can guess pretty close and then adjust using the meter.
There are charts that have recommended levels for each stage but it is “one size fits all” mentality. It is best just to watch the plants for changes that indicate what is needed.
“Listen” to your girls and they will tell you what they need.
Your LST work is fine. All you want is to keep the canopy at a fairly even height.
Agree with this. In fact this suggestion works for hydro, soil or Coco .
Start with suggested levels from whatever line of nutrients you use and then adjust as needed from what you see. A lot of Fox Farm Trio users have found lowering the levels to be necessary when the plant starts showing tip burn. Sticking with a grow system and learning the way it needs to be adjusted works much better than trying a new nutrient system each time we start a grow cycle. I jumped around a lot before I settled on one system. Not saying you are doing that, but the idea of learning to watch the plants for symptoms and adjusting is valuable advice.
There’s some feeding guides at the GH website.
You need to mix according to the instructions on the bottle for your nutrients. Here is a guide I use for the Flora line.
