I growing 2, 2 weeks old Cheddar Cheese indica babies. One looks a little better. Both have droopy leaves
DWC with water level 1.5 inches below net pot. water ph 6.1, water temp 68-72, 700 TDS. AC ION FRAME evo3 on level 2. Air temp 75-77 daytime, 72 night. Lots of air circulation. No clue what could be wrong. Here’s some pics
I’m using this feeding schedule. TDS was 300 for the first 10 days. But they looked like they were mag deficient so I added 1ml/g mag up to 400 TDS. Here are the pics before the extra mag
I believe your nutrients are too strong. The label states to apply at half strength “easy mode” and adjust accordingly. I grow hydroponicly and I use 0.2ml/L of GH micro, grow and bloom, armor SI, diamond nectar and terpinator. 0.4ml/L calmag and flora blend. and 0.5ml/L of hydroguard. I hope this helps.
@Bacon0420 welcome to the happy place, Growmie!
Trio and DWC, 700ppm shouldnt be a problem at this stage. What does your air situation look like? Need to ensure the roots are getting copious amounts of O2.
I started with all per gallon: 1.25ml CaMg, .5ml micro-grow-bloom, 1.25 nectar, 1ml Rapid, 2 ml hydroguard=300TDS
About 4 days after they sprouted they stated drooping and turn yellow like mg deficiency. Added 1ml/g CaMg and color improved 400 TDS. Yellow seemed to move from the center of the leaves out to the tips as it improved.
The second week nutes: per gallon:
2ml Armor Si
3ml CaMg
2ml micro-grow-bloom
2ml nectar
1ml Rapid
2ml Hydroguard =700TDS
I planted hydroton, no rockwool. I don’t top feed. The hydroton is only wet at the bottom from the bubbles.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR REPLIES!! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!! Well, I had to do something. Feel like the only thing it could be is the nutes. Decided to lower to 400 TDS. Hope that helps I’ll post daily pics. Keep the advice coming please
I have grown rdwc for years. My favorite nutrients are general hydroponics trio use rapid rooters plugs to start. I mix mine per 5 galons water at a time.
For seedlings in bucket i put 25 ml micro, plus 25 ml flora grow, and 20 ml bloom. I run this mixture for around 4 weeks.
To me the seeding looks a little low in nitrogen or potassium. Roots look about right for a week growth.
You could try flushing the rocks with some res-water to see if they like that or not, maybe 1/2 gallon each. You might not be getting enough moisture up there initially, &/ or you might have some salt buildup in there.
If they keep getting worse you could foliar feed 150 ppm & then rinse off with some water after 1/2 hour, to try & give them a little food to keep them going until you can figure out what the problem is.
PPM bucketwise, I usually just add two zeros to whatever week I’m on, until they tell me to stop feeding, & that usually gives them enough without using more than I need to.
Probably want to clip the lower dead/ dying leaves off.
Do you have a air gap below between water and roots. I leave about 4 inches. I also keep the leaves from touching the clay pebbles. I cut my foil so it goes aroud the stem of the plant.
