Any changes with the leaf temperature offset yet? That can be a good way to spot if the leaves are transpiring more, less, or the same & to gauge if they are recovering or not, or getting worse.
The leaf temperature is still -2° for the plant on the right. It’s actually zero for the one on the left. Not think I just measured the one on the right last time so I’m not sure if it’s always been zero. Think that corner is getting hot since the air intake is on the other side so I moved my small fans down some so there’s actually a light breeze on them now. I’ll check the temp again in a few hours
Both plants are -2° now
Was hoping for them to start looking a little better by now. Are you noticing any new leaves growing out of the top?
Keep watching the leaf temp offset & look for changes there to indicate if the leaves are transpiring more, less, or the same.
One thing I’ve noticed is that I have to check the leaf temps within seconds of opening my cab, or else the air from outside the cab gets in there & starts changing the leaf temps.
One thing you could do is try another washdown of the rocks with res water, & compare the offset before & a half hour after to see if they transpire more after that, or if they respond better in any way after. I usually do two washdowns a day just to keep things balanced, but that might be bad advice to do regularly for your setup since you’re using microbes & I try to run a ‘sterile’ res, I’m not sure about that.
Tent temp was 76.0 when I opened the flaps and immediately took my readings
The offset has crossed from negative to positive? That’s actually a bit concerning. I was hoping to see your offset widen & go further into the negative. That would indicate that the leaves are transpiring more, which carries away more heat from the leaves. If the offset is going the other way, then that would seem to indicate that the leaves are transpiring less. Looking at the pics & I’m not really seeing much in terms of getting worse, nor seeing much improvement or new growth, they seem to be in stasis.
You might be going the wrong way with your water level, until you get some roots growing out of the bottom of the net pot. Maybe start doing a daily top-down watering with res water to see if they like that or not, & to see if that moves the offset at all. Also you can foliar feed them if you think you need to.
