DWC Autoflower OG Kush

It won’t be once you start flowering. Is the plug on light polarized? If it’s not, try flipping it over and see if problem goes away. If the plug is polarized, check that line and neutral aren’t crossed on the back of receptacle you’re plugged into. Black should be on gold screw and white on silver screw. Obviously, make sure that circuit is powered down before messing with it.

Didnt someone have this same issue with an QB not long ago and it turned out to be a bad timer allowing light to stay on very dim.
@ImAlex may be a good idea to try another timer to see if anything changes

Thank you both.
I’ll look into it. Im thinking it has something to do with it beeing a grounded polarized cable ? o.O I tried a smaller light without the grounding pins on the cable and then it worked.

The problem is generally not a timer, but how the timer works.

All of the drivers are multi voltage, so they have switching circuitry within them. This is usually from power going to wrong side of driver in single hot wire configuration. Some timers only switch one of the wires, if that’s case and hot is backwards, you will see an issue like that. But timer could still be working as designed.

That being said, I’ve helped troubleshoot this issue more than a couple of times. We’ve found a number of things, none of them would be a surprise with Mars hydro light. But I feel polarity issue is most likely and easily checked.

This reminds me of mistakes in the old aircraft manuals the Air Force had. You’d be in the middle of a procedure, and it’d say something like “remove the bolt” at the end of one page, and at the beginning of the next “but not before securing the weight of the part,” you read aloud as you hear CLANG over your shoulder and the guy listening to your instructions grabbing his foot :joy:

I would feel guilty if I didn’t say it. I would also figure since the entire post isn’t but 30 seconds worth of reading, probably not a big deal.

What you think about putting germinated seeds in rockwool cubes thats been soaked with root stimulant? In this case Voodoo juice.
Bad idea?

I am actually really starting to not like rockwool. I tried to do some cloning and the rockwool just held too much water and was too wet. I have not had success directly seeding into rockwool. Instead I use the soak/paper towel method to initially germinate and then transfer to rockwool. I don’t think your voodoo juice is going to make much of a difference.

Mistakes are important too. I think it’s best to document it.
