That is beautiful! I can only do two right now. But when I move back to my lake house I have a 15 X 15 room that I cab make my grow room. I got some of the Groove bags (I hope I am right) and my RH is 42 percent, room temp is 69 F. Think that will be ok?
There are groove bags out there make sure they are grove bags. If you can shoot for around 60% RH. 69 degrees ain’t bad but I like 65 if I can.
They are the Groove brand, Terploc Grove bags are what they are called. I might be able to get the temp down to 69 degrees but I am a little scared of a humidifier, I have one though. I will have to do a dry run to see what I can get the RH up to. I still gave a week or so before harvest. My one girl has a ton of red pistils very few white but hardly any amber trichomes, I see one or two. I was waiting on about 25 percent amber. Everyone has different ideas on trichomes, how do you do it?
Thanks my friend, @thebagman thats a lot space to fill up lol will be awesome. Hey numbers are not my thing when it comes to my grow conditions, I have little to no control, so I have changed how I dry. I am just interested in slowing the process in the rh 35% temps of 80* not sure what is optimal something like 60 and 60 but Idk. All I can say is dont over dry, very hard to put moisture back. And too dry weed is harsh. I understand where you are all 3 of my girls are almost completely orange pistols and waiting for mostly cloudy with 10% amber. I am not a fan of couch lock, high thc yes. Hope you are having a great day man
Depends on the type of pot, I like 10% on pure Sativas and 20 to 30% on the rest. Didn’t know Grove made Groove. Make sure your looking at the Calex and not the sugar leaves, the leaf will have amber before the Calex (where the brown hairs are coming out of)
Got it. I am growing White Widow Auto in 5 gal fabric pots. I will look at the Calex.
This is what I got in the Grove bags: Terploc Grove Bags 1 OZ Curing Cultivation and Storage Pouch (four), Black
I love the bags don’t over fill them about 75% the rest is where they say their magic takes place. They want you to heat seal the bags, I use painters tape like the blue kind cuz its cheaper than the green & works. That way you can access your pot & don’t have to cut the bag. So far the longest I have kept it that way is just over two years and it really makes for some stellar weed. My new goal is 1 year & the company suggests at least 45 days.
Roger that! So after I dry it for 5-10 days (so that the stem snaps) I put it in the bags for how many days?
Here is the clone I took from my White Widow Auto plant. I took the clone during the flowering stage. It has tiny flowers every where. Do you think anything will become of it?
minimum of 45 days so sez grove bags but I hold out alot longer. I use the moisture meter like in the u-tube I posted . Snaping buds off stem is what I used to do but seems like the meter does it better.
P.S. Autos don’t clone well you’ll be lucky to get anything.
I just picked up a moisture meter today. The cutting I took was about 2" tall, now it’s about 10-12" Looks really healthy, I might just put her outside and see what happens.
Hey @thebagman in my experience with autos you just never know what they are going to be like, as you know indica & Sativa, but mj has a cold county version called Ruderalis that has skimpy flowers and low thc, but it flowers automatically. The way genetics works you can take after anyone, mom dad or ugly uncle Fred, I hope your clone flowers like a indica And like @pillsbury said autos when cloned will be the same age as the mother plant, hence flowering quickly, but you will get something out of her my friend. I personally stopped growing autos, I lean indica these days as I love nice solid nuggets with indica dominant strains. Hope this helps
have a good night man
So you shut down the lights for a period of hours, right maybe 12/12 or 16/8? And do you leave the lights on 24-7 in the veg period ? I really got tired of spending $800 to $900 a month for a good quality quarter lb. My wife can go through some bud but in he defense I would to if I was at home all day. So I did a little research and decided it would be the easiest. But even these I spend and hour or so a day on them. I do love growing it though! Have a great week and I really appreciate all your info.
New pic of my White Widow Auto Flower clone! It is over 24" right now, buds are starting to thicken up. This is crazy!
I have had my buds in Groove bags since 7/24. I have a hydrometer in both bags, one is reading 58% RH and the other is ready 59%. Will this go down?
Looking awesome man, 58 and 59 are right on. Grove bags with time numbers will drop unless you heat seal, but I have been happy my numbers would stay fairly close for a long time
So instead of heat sealing you use “Painters tape” ??..So you don’t have to cut the Grove bags open right.
So how do you tape? do you tape across the zip lock top to seal it?
Also I agree with the your comment on the snap method…I used to go by that but I found my buds got too dry if I waited for the snap…Unfortunately I don’t have a way right now to dry in the optimal degree range as suggested so I just check them daily .
priceless!
yeah i use the tape so I don’t destroy the bag. I go into them quite often for friends. I use 2 inch tape & place it 1/2 down on the bag ( holding it up to the light makes it easy to center) overlapping the ends & fold it over the top & seal it. It’s early I hope I’m making sense.
