Is it normal for hay smell while drying? Im gonna dry trim so i chopped and throw the leaves and all in there

Yes it is. And it will go away as the chlorophyl off gasses.

7 to 10 days drying ? So what am i looking for all brown crispy leaves, now dry trim? And thing to tell there ready for cure?
There’s really no set time for drying unless your using an automatic dry/cure system.
There is moisture meters that reads the rh of the bud is another way.
You can dry or wet trim it really doesn’t matter dry is dry. I fill a jar or grove bag half full and put a hygrometer in it to see what the rh is the target is 63% if it’s above 63% dump it out wait a day or two and try it again.

Ok so the bud in the cure jars should always stay at 63%? And i can use any old hygrometer or certain one needed for buds?

Long and short, the bag is almost like a produce bag. It allows the bad gasses out while keeping the good gasses in. Humidity stays between 58 and 62%. They are reusable and come in different sizes.

Damn ok sounds much easier, i had just bought mason jars and was gonna just burp daily, on day 6 of drying should i just bag em up tomorrow for few weeks?

If youve already dried and ready to cure and dont have the bags, then jar em up and start curing while you wait for your bags. Then just transfer from the jar to the bag and forget about it lol

I like that Ollie bag, kind of neat!
I just cured a small test bud in one of the bags and it worked out great. After 7 days in the bag the smoke was great, looking forward to what lies ahead for the cure of the harvest especially after multiple weeks.

I am getting ready to start harvesting and I love your idea with the box and clips. Do you close the end?
The way I was planning on doing it, I have a piece of PVC that’s about 6’ long and 6’ high. I was going to hang them from the PVC in a spare bedroom with a ceiling fan and dark. Will that work? Here is what one of them looks like below. She’s about ready.
