Don't throw that butter weed away

I used to throw away the weed after I made a batch of butter, but my last harvest of Harle-Tsu ( 20% CBD) was only 3oz and I need at least 6oz to make it til the next harvest…so I kept the weed from each batch of butter I made and froze it.

I figured I didn’t have anything to lose so when I ran out of flower…I thawed 2 frozen 1oz batches and and cooked them in 1lb of butter for 4 hours

(I have a butter machine but I prefer a crock pot.)

What I found out is the butter made with the used weed is as strong as the original batch from what I can tell. I use butter for breakfast and I can still feel the effects well into the afternoon just like the original batch. No sense in throwing away good medicine.

Hell yeah @OldSkunk. Oil can only absorb so much thc cbd per extraction so multiple pulls are definetly a thing if you have really dank material to start with. Hows the flavor of the new butter?

Tastes like weed @Ebb …I don’t try to cover the taste with anything. I use it on toast with honey or jelly I the morning and I sometimes put it in coffee for pain in the afternoon if I push it too hard working around here. I’m so used to the taste I don’t really notice it. One thing about it…it’s been 8 hours and I still feel the effects. I usually do 4-5 hour runs at around 200 deg

I definitely like the terpenes when it comes to vaping it @Ebb. I never thought about how it tastes in edibles. A lot of people here were complaining about the taste back 6 or 7 years ago and how to mask it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong about liking the taste of it at all. I like the taste of a lot of things my wife hates…like good beer.
