And I’m not saying it doesn’t work for you, but all of the $15-$30 bottles of XXXX to do YYYY really are unnecessary for the beginner. It over complicates the process when they are simply trying to understand the basics. And only the snake oil salesmen are laughing all the way to the bank after they sell what adds up to $100’s.
How do you get that box to show up with what a person said earlier???
Highlight it and a quote comes up
Look mom…no hands
I did it
Look I have shown alot of people around me how I grew ,I supplied the bucket and all the nutrients they needed to get through a entire grow . I gave them a chart of the feed schedule, a clone and explained the importance of pH and most of the time they have been very successful with minimal questions so I must not have made it too complicated
I’m so excited… sorry guys …go ahead you were saying… lol.
Ya it can be expensive…UNTIL you join this forum and learn from everyone
Oh… now that I did it and earned a badge it tells me how to do it
LoCoRock that’s funny stuff lol I still can’t figure it out
Everyone talks about growing organically… I wanna find the guy dealing the steroids and grow a 30’ pot tree…
I’m with you organics are for veggies
And with great experience and your nutes and buckets you showed them personally how to do it. That’s awesome!! Kudos.
I’m simply saying that a beginner can start with a Walmart 5 gallon bucket, an air pump and stone, a good light and a simple nute solution such as GH Flora 3 part and get pounds of weed too. And not have to pH adjust or measure a PPM even once.
And if they enjoy it build and get more complicated from there.
Yep that’s what I use
Ok I’m out…let’s all roll a fatty…thanks @WickedAle for showing me that…
@Myfriendis410 you spoke to me eariler about using the aluminized styrofoam but I have 5 gallon buckets round. Would I just break/bend it around the bucket or is there a different product I could use?
I used mine on the top of the tote (bucket) to shield it from light and heat. Just cut two panels per bucket with a circular area cut out of the meeting edges where they join. That should redirect heat and light away from your buckets to keep them cooler.
Might be easier to see it.
Theres also a product called reflectix… they sell it at homedep and lowes , in like 2 foot x 8 foot rolls and 4 foot x 8 foot rolls… you can wrap it around individual buckets and make lids as well out of it… very easy to work with…
We put It in our windows and stuff in my parts to keep out the heat from the sun…
You said your room was 58F (or the floor). If you have a 18/6, the floor should provide enough of a heat sink to keep the DWC cool enough. I have the same situation and I don’t shade or insulate. Shading might be helpful, but soon enough your plant will provide enough shade. You absolutely do not need to worry about it being too cool.
