Does anyone else have a whiteboard like this?

Writing down the grow particulars so I can easily see it every time that I’m at the tent… has really helped me “see” the journey my plants are going thru.

Do you do something similar?

I’m interested in hearing other ideas to help enhance my documentation system in the future.

I don’t have a white board but record each day in a note book …temp high low humidty what I fed or just water. When you record what happens it helps in future grows. ie how long stretch may be etc… great whiteboard happy growing

@VirginiaGrowBoy @thecount13 I used to keep a hand written journal but I found I can’t even read my own writing.
Each excel workbook has three tabs
1 - journal
2 - Jack’s - schedule by feed of what is used

Date Description Wk dose X liter Override Water - Liters Jack’s A Epsom Salt Jack’s B Fish Shit ML Mother Earth Tea Ancient Earth Bud Candy Sensi PH unad- justed PPM
1/8/2022 first feed 500ml tap Seed wk1 0.5 0.145 0.05 0.095 7.10 550
1/17/2022 Seed wk3 2.0 1.9 0.64 1.26 2 7.00 1100
1/20/2022 After transplanting 50/50 tap / distilled Veg Wk1-1 1.0 0.95 0.3 0.6 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 6.6 1460

3 - ph adjustments to get to desired PH and dilute to desired PPM

I have a notebook. Actually, some nice notebooks and pens and folders my wife got for me, but I’m bad at documenting, so they have sat very nicely displayed for 3 months. Plus, using Coco and Jack’s, it’s pretty easy to remember how much they get.

Hear you on being able to read your own writing. Sometimes when I look back a few days ago and what the hell. happy growing :bat:

I started with a white board. I used to use a notebook but I’ve mostly transitioned to using the Grow With Jane app.

@yourviolentpast

There’s a freaking App???

OMG :kissing_heart:

I do it the old fashioned way except my paper has lines.

I wish I would have started with lined paper. Been neater, maybe.

I still use paper and pen…for now lol, I kinda love the spreadsheet idea on my laptop or the app.

There’s not A app - there’s several!!

@VirginiaGrowBoy thanks for making this post, I thought maybe I was the only crazy one that wrote everything down, not at the house but I have a day planner thats a not book and write everything down. What all my run off numbers are, when I add or take something away. I find it super helpful, I know what the ph or my water should be. I know how much ph up or down to add to the milliliter. Glad I’m not the only one, my wife calls it crazy, lol

Around here a common saying is "if you don’t have a picture of it, it didn’t happen. For me, if I don’t write it down or enter it in the journal, it didn’t happen because I usually don’t remember if I did it or not.

Me too!
I have my trusty old school black composition book! The kind that actually still has the thread in the binding.
Like $0.89 at the Walnutz.
Can’t beat it!
I almost went with a app but I RARELY write anything any more so I figured it couldn’t hurt to try to actually write something down. LOL!
The direction I was heading I was gonna end up like Festus, just making my mark to cash a check or something! And the bank tellers aren’t as forgiving as Miss Kitty!

It’s also sort of an obsession to me.

Reason being: If you want to he good at something, you have to be All In.

And it’s science.

I live by what seems to be a corollary to that:
