Congratulations big dawg! Looks amazing in there!
@Docnraq, do you still have have time, or desire for your home grows? Glad you are back! It has been boring around here lately.
Love seeing that canopy! Congrats, when working at a job you love life is so much better, even if it is busting your a$$ during busy seasons.
I do but over the last 30 days or so I have been in the process of moving while also working 50-60 hour weeks so I had to cut my last grow down before they were ready for harvest and havent started anything yet. Be another month I bet before I can.
Is it the strength, quantity, or style of light that allows such a gap between the canopy to fixture while still being effective?
Strength and quantity allow for the distance you see now. Those just came out of veg room so the lights even at full will only offer just enough light at that distance. By the time flower is in full swing the tops will only be 3 feet or so from the lights. Its hella bright in there when all those lights are doing their thing.
Glad you can leave the apartment life! I hope you will have more room for your grows, and your wife can reclaim the medicine cabinet.
Me too! I will no longer have to share my grow space with other stuff. Its all me, my plants and my gear! Very excited! I have garage space and outdoor space to mix soils and make teas for organic runs. The room can be uniteruptudly dark during lights out…ahh the possibilities!
Dang Doc! I’ve not read on this in months but way to go!! Congrats on your new endeavors!
Typo…5 feet or so is what I ment to say.
Gonna start up some organic soil this weekend and cook it for a couple weeks. Thinking ill run a few autos to kick off my new grow space. Ill snap up some pics and fill yall in on my ingredients. Hope everyone has a great week!
@Docnraq awesome. good to see ya starting up again. How’s the job treating ya?
Awesome buddy cant wait!! Hope all is well round your way brother!
Do you think that your personal grow techniques will change much, since you have gone professional?
Its awesome! I love working with the plants and maintaining the canopy.
Things are going very well, some moving wors but thats to be expected.
Some, mostly in my defoliation and canopy forming techniques. Some of the ways they go about caring for the plants at work goes against what ill allow in my own space.
What differences do they have, or is it proprietary? Curiosity more than anything.
Some is. Some stuff I can talk about.
One example is that they dont flush the plants, like at all… so they feed till the day of harvest. Ill never do that.
Another is growing for quantity over quality. Id rather half 3g of straight fire then 9g of meh… I get it, they have quotas that need met…thankfully in my garden it is all about that fire!
Spent most of my day doing defoliation/decongestion in this room. The ladies in this room are all about 22 days in flower…+/- The biggest plus to working for Highgrade has been being able to do plant upkeep over and over again…on someone elses plants. There are hundreds of plants for me to play with!
Thats a beautiful sea of grewn haha what kind of lights are yall using in that room?
