I think i feed light, so i feel the ability to get that sf light close to the canopy and have even light and heat distribution helps with the trich formation. Im sure genetics plays a role as well. ![]()

Not yet but getting close on a few. I hope your doin well My Brother! ![]()

Thanks for the advise. @NUG61 it wont be for a few more months. Ill let ya’ know what i get.![]()
Doing fine… Busy Busy… We Got Corpus, Temple, Australian Pink Floyd, Fredericksburg, Fort Hood, Arroyo City then Lee’s Summit. Definitely shouldn’t have started a new Run…
@W.B.elpaso … just make sure if gives par over a 4’ flower area.

My Brother is a firefighter in Lee’s Summit. He’s not a stoner tho! ![]()

To Bad… Lol. My kids ain’t either but they aint against it either!!
You’re now at least the second person saying something about the distance of the light away from the canopy. How close do you have your light in the second half of flower? Mine’s got to be close to 20-24 inchs, and running at like 90% in order to keep my DLI around 42-43.
So, drop it down to 12 or 16 inches? Closer? And stay with the same DLI? What DLI are you guys aiming for?
Yes I run my sf-4000 around 12 to 14 in during flower… my se7000 I’ll run six to eight inches above the canopy. I’ve never measured my DLI just tried to make sure I used to light that had 100% par in the flower area…and keep it as close as the plant will let me. ![]()

Gah, I’m second guessing everything I’m doing right now… So should I not worry about DLI, and just go for PAR?
Definitely dropping the light down tonight! Thanks very much for the assistance!
I guess DLI is important, if its to much light, but i let the plant tell me that not the meter, in this case. Now the (photosynthetically activated radiation) i want just as much at the edge of my grow area as i do the center. So i consider the area of my grow space and light it accordingly and run it as close as i can without harming the plant. ![]()
And i mostly SOG or SCROG
Awesome, thanks for the knowledge transfer @NUG61 Definitely gives me a few more items to think about!
@Latitudes This is my journal
I hope you hang out. ![]()

They go hand in hand, adjusting one automatically adjust the other ![]()
Thanks @Dman1969 and @OGIncognito !
I’m reading this article now:
" PPFD and PAR
Light, as it is perceived by plants, is referred to as photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). The amount of light reaching a surface, e.g. the plant’s leaves, is measured in PPFD, which stands for photosynthetic photon flux density. PPFD measures all photons (light particles) within the PAR spectrum in micromoles per square meter per second (μmol/m²/s). This means that PPFD specifically measures the light available to plants for photosynthesis and thus, impacts their growth."
Here’s today’s pic of My 2oz solo cup Seymour Shit @repins12 ‘s creation.
She’s pushing herself out of the cup.
She has a hellova set of roots. I gotta work on the green stuff!
I hope all My Brothers and Sisters are safe well and high as
thats so awesome, shes so huge in that tiny solo cup
Read that before Growmie, my comment was if you change one the other changes automatically DLI/PPFD
