Dinky's Grow Log ☘

I have seen on this forum several people who have had similar experiences with auto plants. :v::blush:

Was not expecting an auto at all as every single one so far has been a photo, wonder how many I actually have in it. And whatever it is I definitely haven’t grown it before so it’ll be a new strain for the stash :drooling_face:

That would be like (SURPRISE). It would be disappointing if you were depending on it to refill your stash. :blush::v:

That’s what I call a bonus. Congrats.

I know I’m a little late to the party, but I grew some Thai land races outside here in the desert. That was my first attempt at training and the hardest grow I’ve ever done. It took 3 generations to finally get something worth while, but I did have a friend that did ok with the original seeds indoor. I can’t believe I haven’t thought of growing some coffee. I’ll be getting on that soon thanks for the idea @noddykitty1

Quick qurstion to anyone who has grown autoflowers specifically or can grow them well.

What is your average yield per plant? Just curious to compare to my first harvest to know how close i am to being on par with experienced growers.

@TrichromeTay that’s a question for @Lostgirl :metal:

I need to create a little book for tagging people for what. Lol

@TrichromeTay good morning!

I usually pull about 1 lb per plant… Sometimes a little less sometimes a little more.

I only grow Photoperiods not autos.

I should be at 2.5 momths right now. Probably going to get them close to 3 to space them out and even them out. Thanks for the info dank!

Like @StonedCold13 said, far too many variables dictate the outcome of an auto flowers yield.

I’ve personally had them do 2oz upto 1 pound+ and everything in between

Yield is great and we all want those 1 lb plants, but once you have some stash on hand it helps to remember that in a perfect world there is an inverse relationship between quantity and quality. I don’t mean to say that big plants can’t or don’t produce great smoke. Just that more mass means fewer secondary metabolites(canabinoids and terps) per unit of mass. So everything else being equal a smaller plant will produce higher quality buds.

For sure. I know if you let them go an extra week or so past peek harvest they really plump up. Or so ive been told. Im mainly curious to know if im growing autoflowers well or not. I know im doing better with photos but i dont think im doing bad with autos. But i could be wrong, hence why im trying to cross reference other more experienced growers yields vs mine.

But dont get me wrong. I definitely appreciate any advice given. If anything its a refreasher and i need those ever now and then without a doubt.

It’s really hard to try to compare your Auto grow to the next.
They are to damn unpredictable in my opinion.
Wanna compare apples to apples?
Go Photo :+1:t2:
But please don’t judge your Auto grows :green_heart::metal:t2:

So how should i get better if im not judging them to learn and grow? Not giving attitude just genuinely curious. Its the only way ive been able to learn and educate myself is to be self critical to the point of dang near perfectionism. I understand the huge x variable of growing autos but i still want to try to grow autos better to know if yielding 1.8-4 ozs for 8 autos is good.

Happy Monday @Growmoredank . Quick question on photos - when
You flip to 12/12, do you stay 12/12 till harvest or adjust lighting along the way?
