Thought I’d start up a journal for this next grow to get talking with everyone a bit more, lovin the vibes lately on here and a lot of new members recently that fit right in
So let’s get started! 3 seeds germinated (still rocking 100% success rate), method is pretty straight forward - i boil water and let it cool down to the point that its slightly warmer than my skin, fold into some tissue and put in a tub half submerged in same temps water and into a dark space, usually 48 hours and I get these
From there, into their little pots into a warm sunny spot.
The only thing I can think for the 100% success on germinating is I dont let the water get cool, if anything it gets progressively warmer as my house heating kicks in
Anyways here they are - Monkey see, do and don’t. One will stay and two will go, my moneys on Monkey Don’t.
Gotcha. Air pockets could make it easier for roots to reach out in theory? My seeds tend to take up to a week sometimes to get to that point. So that makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong or you right.
That’s my thinking anyway, if it ain’t broke and all that! Always, always 48 hours for me, I woukd chalk it up to being lucky but I have about 300 mixed seeds so I cant say it’s genetics etc, has to be the method. I aint doing shi differently since I started lol
The only other thing I could think of is that I use super thrive in a spray bottle and spray down the top of the paper towel because I read it was good for Germination.
For me as long as they’re inside that hard casing, the type of water is irrelevant and the temps is far more the focus, if I felt like it was getting cold I’d drop a tablespoon or two of warmer water in there, just trying to emulate the climate warming gradually in nature, could be pure stoner thoughts though haha
