Did i germinate my seeds the rite way?

I follow the directions in the video.

I agree with @Majiktoker, my WW’s popped in no time and grew great!

I’m so glad I found this topic. I’m planting my seeds outdoors today and wanted to know which end of the seed to plant facing downward. The round side or ā€œbelly buttonā€ side is the fat end … is that correct? The pointy end goes pointing upward in the soil. Is that right?

I didn’t have any problem with my WW and SSH seeds germinating the last two years outdoors and can’t remember which side I planted the seeds. But I’m trying to do everything right this year!

I didn’t soak my seeds first … just put them in seedling potting soil and gently watered them. They all came up within about four days.

Thanks,
MT

Honestly that’s growers option, I usually plant mine pointed side down, and some people will say it doesnt matter gravity will naturally pull the stem and root system down

If you plant it belly button down the seedling pushes open the cracked open up side and leaves the shell behind. The other way it pushes the shell up with it which is harder on the seedling and may require assistance to get the husk off. It also may cause the taproot to form a loop which I have seen in a few failed seedlings.
