I’ve played around and placed the dehumidifier both in the grow room and outside the grow room, and it definitely works better inside the room but makes the temps go up drastically.
I have two 6" inline fans blowing are into the intake and with the dehumidifier placed outside the tent it works, just not nearly as quickly.
I am thinking of maybe building some sort of manifold to fit over the top of the dehumidifier and use ductwork to connect it to the 6"inline fan
Just put a 4 inch or 6 inch whatever over the exhaust of the dehumid and put the other end of the tube to ur intake of room so it’s pulling in the dry air with a bit of fresh. It helps my room alot thanks to @MeEasy I believe it was
That’s the plan, currently I have (2) 6" inline fans on the floor blowing into the room, I may build a manifold to go over the top of the dehumidifier (I have extra material) and have the (1) 6" fan connected to dehumdifier exhaust and the other fan as fresh air.
When I grew in a tent with two plants this was never an issue. Bigger room, more plants, and bigger plants, the humidity is insane!
U should not even need a fan from the dehumid exhaust as the intake fan pulling the air in will do that part as it’s pulling in the air. One fan in one fan out. Usually the exhaust fan is a big fan to pull all needed to be pulled out and the intake can be smaller as it don’t have to have a whole lot coming thru. Exhaust will pull air thru the intake tube without having the fan run for intake I can crank my exhaust fan up to 6 or 7 and not even have my intake on and can hear the air flowing thru the tube I also run 8 inch in and out of the room
I am not sure if I need a larger exhaust fan. I am in a 4’x8’ room and I am using an AC Infinity T6. I am only using 4’x4’ to grow in so I figure a 6" would be good, plus I had it when I thought I was only ever going to use a 4’x2’ tent. I can crank the fan up to 10 and it takes a bit for any change in humidity/temp.
When I am done with this grow there are a few upgrades I want to make to the room, a larger exhaust being one of them.
