pH 5.8?
Watering till you get a good runoff amount? 20% at least.

Her and I calibrated her ph pen twice to make sure it’s good. Matches mine perfectly. She waters/feeds 1/2 gallon at a time and gets almost 25% back every time.

Hey there @Jake3 , you have an otherwise vigorous healthy plant, which leads me to believe you have a pH problem which in all fairness show’s up much like several different deficiencies. Also Jacks wants you to dissolve part 1 completely before adding part 2. And dissolve 2 before adding part 3. Be sure to keep a check on TDS and pH in runoff.

I would normally agree. I personally have checked her ph pen against mine multiple times and have re calibrated both. Runoff ph is 5.89 and runoff Tds is 1100 as of 6:25pm est tonight. I’m at a loss here

Im new so take my opinion with a grain of salt lol, looks like just the tops of the plants. Maybe picky with the light, maybe want some epsom salt… really tho, listen to the experienced , ill be learning

Going by what u have said it sounds like ur ph is fine specially for coco are you using cal/mag at all the only reason im asking is it looks like a magnesium def but i will do abit of research for u and i will see if we can fix ur problem. Ok i just had a look on the internet and it is a magnesium def u have to fix this they recommend that you bring ur ph up to 6.0 until the deficiency is fixed thats what they recommend doing for people who grow in hydro ,or coco once ur plant has fixed its self then u can start to water with 5.8 ph water i hope this was helpful .

I’m thinking a magnesium deficiency seeing as your PH is point. Bump your cal nitrate and epson salt up some :love_you_gesture:

:point_up_2: my thoughts as well

@Jake3 Does she supplement with. CalMag or agricultural Epsom Salts? I agree  with the Class. These could help.

Well going by what i have read they say to bring the ph up to 6.0 and the plant should start taking up magnesium again and once the plant is nice and green then they can water with 5.8 ph water again

Just a sec here,…
I have mine in 3 gallon containers and need a little over 1/2 gallon to even begin to see run off.
3/4 gallon to get get enough run off to matter.
She has a 10 gallon pot and gets 25% run off with 1/2 gallon? This baffles me.
Unless she is watering multiple times a day to get that amount of run off.
If that is what’s happening I suggest watering only once or twice a day and let the roots get some air.
That would mean watering larger amounts but less often.
Another question, are the leaf stems dark purple?

Water supply? In some cases there is enough minerals in the water supply. If you send a sample to the Co. The people at Jacks will pinpoint the exact formulation for you. With Coco or hydro you must supply all the nutrients. There is no buffer like you have with soil. Thus, pH and runoff TDS are critical to control. With Jacks, if you need more Mag. Just up the 1 which is Magnesium sulfate I believe which is the same as epsom salt.

Thank you all for the responses. Apparently she does water twice a day. Would’ve been nice to know from the get go, but I guess it is what it is. I know that g13 is said to be a hungry strain. I’ll have her up her cal-nit and epsom as well as raising ph to 6.0.

@Spiney_norman @Jake3 Spiney with the eye for detail AND the save!!! Nice!!

Jake you know the drill now, get her to back off the waterings lol.
