Because I had an outdoor reveger I tried to grow, but grew bugs.
The Hindu kush are being sprayed but may become compost.
The new seedlings are growing great.
Feb Predator mites coming. round one.
March JDB and more for round two .
The autos got molded out with my dew point greenhouse growing pains. But the HK plants are acting like they are at the spa. Seem to take the humidity well, when I lost many other young plant starts.
I kept 2 of those auto seeds to run point this summer in the prime time spots in my bed,
Didn’t wash the early harvested (no sprays, fewer bugs).
Didn’t have time to wash, Tossed some when the bugs were discovered (after spraying and killing the bugs).
Tents being cleaned.
JDB arrived in time to spray all, tonight
My 4 remaining HKs are 2 ft tall, unflowered so far (19/5).
I will calendar the the date and lights when i see flowers.
Need the lights O to keep lung room above 65F.
More colder coming this weekend.
Pick the desired strain and during the next seed sale, I will get us some.
Sharing is caring, fun, and expands our network.
Anacortes trip?
Your always invited to come consult.
I think I have soil and feed desired (FFHF/OF/ and Jacks RO) dialed.
Just need critter free or know washed weed still has kick.
I have noticed the HKs clone really easy and fast.
Till I killed them (unattended too long).
Received my sachets of predatory mites.
No “release” instructions other than “hang sachet”.
Shall hole? large hole? no hole?
Would have been nice to know.
Any ideas?
Gotta be happy with that good size for a young auto. All big leaf indicas, planned or just happens. Theyre hard to tell apart not bad just sayin. They look good
Waiting to exhale.
Yes the size is amazing.
I am tempted to up-plant and give the whole tent to her.
TBT, soil is FFHF, perlite, and Big Foot Mycorrhizae.
The 535 watts of my Vipar Spectra V1200 works for heating the tent.
HLG 350R (330 watts)
800-860 watts from house.
The VS is half (or less) as efficient as the HLG.
So realistically, 600+ LED watts (70KLUX, or more).
Lights up high 20-25 inches above canopy.
Just fighting the spider mites, found on older other plants.
Sprayed all and banished the web showing Hindu Kush.
Outdoors for the night, Freeze them?
I have others showing the same desirable characteristics, just not as big or receiving favored treatment.
No more outdoor plants being relocated inside.
Again, I get to experience the “Space Invaders” and vanquish them to extinction. JDB spray tonight on this ILGM Afghan Auto, will repeat every other day. Monday, I will empty tent and wash inside.
Then spray the plants. More ladybugs available for releasing.
Predatory Mites in sachets (slow release?).
Ordering the No Pest strips. (Thank you @Growdoc ).
Sharing is appreciated.
Learned that Alcohol (rubbing?) and water listed as an effective death to spider mites spray.
Safer than killer chemicals, I would believe.
On the 10/7/2024 Hindu Kush
I am starting to see flowers, sparse, and not yet on all four.
Lights 13/11 ON/OFF currently.
HLG 260D(Kit) and Vipar Spectra R900 (400Watts).
This cold and snow are not helping.
How goes the returned surrogates?
I bought a quarter of Jack H today.
Test and Evaluation time.
Under 35 days from breaking soil to flower.
Given special treatment
Bag Soil only seed drop and dome germinated.
Bag elevated into storage bin (double, for run-off measuring).
Haven’t measured (or watered making run-off, yet).
The ladybugs are active in both tents.
Predator mites?? can’t see them.
Soil FFHF, perlite and BigFoot Mycorrhizae.
All waterings are Jacks RO @ 6.3-6.5PH and 600-1500PPM.
Starting additional Epsom salt adding.
Got the wood stove going making some future hardwood char. And a hot cup of coffee.
The plants passed back to me are doing well. The ILGM auto afghani you are having me finish offf seems to not mind greenhouse life. Looking pretty in the sun.
The ILGM fem Hindu Kush seems to also be transitioning to greenhouse life as well. I hope you have enough room in the tent now. lol
I cloned it and it does seem to clone easy like you said. I plan to open it up with some sticks and chains this week before she starts to flower. We are only 10 hours of sun in the greenhouse right now. My favorite, spring flower run. If I get the norther lights boys in time I want to load her up w pollen and seeds.
And then those lil gift seedlings you gave me, I dropped one into the Axolotl tank. I dropped in the one that looked the most female. Rinsed the roots of soil and let it rest in a hole atop the 200 gallon grow out tank. It never drooped so it will be fun to see how it does. Ph is a little high for hydro (6.5) but we will see. Greenhouse and a thousand baby Axolotls to spew nutrients.
Thanks again for the gift smoke. I have been sharing it and everyone has liked it. You are an amazing trimmer. I do not have the patience, or my 3 kids are always distracting me. Probably a bit of both. Ha
Never enough room, if more than one.
Both tents are full. License renewed for the year.
Sharing helps me learn more, thank you for the opportunity.
If only Mrs. Daisy wouldn’t hit the Mall Stores.
TBT, trip is no fun without her.
Starting to trim the Hindu Kush plants to shape desired and open canopy.
All others holding well in 60-80F temps and 40-70RH (indoors, un-heated garage). HKs now 12.5/11.5 (if I get the setting right). Cut a clone (flowering, starting) yesterday. Solo cup FFHF soil with dome.
