My 2nd grow ever, 3 plants gifted by [SeaOhAreWhy] who grew too many plants.
He started them in living soil and crop cover of clover, I did 2 compost tea feedings and mostly just watered with cal/mag and fish shit, ph to 6.8, my water comes out of the tap at 9.0 +/- 0.2. around 110ppm Probably should have watered more often with molasses between the compost tea feeds. Still lots to learn with all this living soil stuff. Had an issue where the new growth and new leaves on the plants would stay very light green almost yellow, but not quite, for a couple weeks. so once I flipped to flower I just pounded them with jacks 321, 4 tsp Silica, 18 grams Jacks A, 6 grams epsom, 12 grams Jacks B in a 5 gallon bucket, after all that stuff added ph was 6.6 to 6.7, ppm around 900, i just left it as is, given to the 3 plants every 3 to 4 days. it was every 4 days at first then it settled in at every 3 days, 10 lbs of water was going through each of them. Also have a bunch of exhale bags and have gotten the CO2 monitor to show 900ppm to 1400ppm so have CO2 boosted too.
I have been following this dli chart, at the highest I had it about 1100 ppfd on the average but that seemed a little high, so dropped it down to 1000ppfd on the average. Trying to follow this dli chart for high growth levels.
Had a few issues, Guru [SeaOhAreWhy] noticed the color of the leaves and waxy leaves on the Kool Aid Breath and the next lights on, I paid attention and they all had a slight issue with nitrogen toxicity, I didn’t recognize the claw tips and how dark and waxy the leaves were, Kool Aid Breath was the most affected by it, but it seems to be growing the fattest of them all, but all 3 plants showed signs of the claw for about the last month, i can see it in older pictures, but no real damage to any of the leaves, and they never slowed down drinking. I did flush them with only water and silica on Day 43, I should have probably done this a week or so earlier. ppm run off was 2000 +/_200 since Day 34 of flower. Probably should have backed off jacks part b to slow on the nitrogen toxicity too.
