Cutting grow bags for extra height in tent

I purchased a 10 gallon fabric pot to grow my single plant in. My tent is 2.3’x2.3’x5.2’ so im concerned about my height limitations. I plan to scrog the plant to help with this and will start LST after i remove the dome. My questions,

•My 10gallon bags are 10" tall. If i were to cut the bag horizontally down to 5" would that not technically be a short 5gallon bag?

•Is 5 gallons enough to support 1 plant in its final container? Using Foxfarm ocean floor with an added 15%-20% perlite.

•When would you guys recommend removing the dome? Its holding 99%.

•Should i start LST or top the plant first?

•When to add scrog net and approximately where to add first net above soil? Ive read 10"?

Lastly the math im doing trying to figure out the height i will have to flip to flower has me confused. As stated above the tent is basically 2x2x5. Fan and filter and light are taking roughly 20". If i can cut the grow bag down i will gain 5" which will allow me roughly 32" to veg and flower?? I will have to flower when the canopy through my scrog net reaches 16"? First time indoor grower so i may be completely wrong in my thinking but thats exactly why i came to the experts!!! Thanks again for any info!!

With that size pot, i would definitely train down and out. Spread that girl out. Lets see her with the dome removed

These soil guys can answer better, but I thought I read where people just folded them down…

I would say its safe to remove the dome. Water in a ring outside your plant. You want your roots searching for water… bigger roots bigger fruits!

I’d mainline and get a 15" cola in each of the trellis holes.

Just fold the bag as mentioned. 5 gallon will work and the 10 gal bag is left intact.

Howdy
Can you roll the top of bag down instead?
Save cutting it.

Couldn’t you accomplish the same thing by only filling it half way up, and simply rolling it down?
