I would grow with a 3000k no problem “Flower Flower Flower” is whats important. and 3000k works good to flower, you can grow with bare light bulb

Hey buddy and late Happy Thanksgiving!! Fed Ex just showed up at my door with my early Christmas gift to myself and I am stoked! I have yet to hang it because I will wait and keep the girls on their dark schedule and hang it tonight at lights on (midnight for me). However I do have an early question if you do not mind. I was tinkering with the potentiometer and it appears to only be about a 3/4 turn from full low to full high output. I have it where I think 60% is but without meters is there a way to dial in the % for sure? If not I think I am real close. Also, is there a preferred or custom way to I should hang or just play around with ways to keep straight and level. I thank you again my friend and any info. you pass along to me is appreciated in the highest sense!

However you can get it straight and level will work. I usually use ratcheting hangers.
It sounds like your pot is just quite a bit higher resistance than you need. Send them email describing what you see, they should send you another one.

You have one with external dimmer and not built into driver right?
It had a black rubber grommet plugging the hole at the low adj. I removed grommet and use a #1 phillips screwdriver to adj. Unless I misunderstand, It is built into the driver.

Ok. That’s about normal then. Those drivers only dim to about 50%. I should’ve asked that first sorry.
Ok good. No need to write them now then. Hey dbrn32, what is the hardest I should ever run this light? Do I ever crank all the way up to 100% or is that a bad practice?

You can run it at 100% no problem. It’s a more efficient light dimmed, and you should gradually increase intensity to harden plants as they mature. Otherwise full power is no problem.

Ok thanks. Being that it is more efficient dimmed, would it make more sense to run it dimmed to ??% and not at 100%? I just want to run this light the best I can.
It makes more sense to run it dimmed lower than at full power higher anyways. So if plants won’t take all the light, dim it. Once flowering more light = bigger harvest.

Hey buddy, the plants are vegged under led light for 6-8 weeks in separate veg. room and the moment they go under the 260xl in the 2x4 tent they are flipped to 12/12. Does that make a difference?
Outside of maybe needing a little time to adapt to the light spectrum and intensity of qb’s, not really.
