Stoner moment - Forgot to water pot before the transplant. The weight of the pumice and lava ripped the bottom root mass out during the pot swap. Watered it with all the stress reducers (Si, Aloe, kelp, Cnut, etc) in my grow box.
It just got another water to bring the moisture levels and pH into range.
I also re-tested tested all the pots for pH levels @Hoppiefrog. All were 6.7 but one. It wasn’t in those pots either. It is a double veg plant that was 6.4.
No different that tearing the root ball of a small pot apart and spreading before transplant. The way I look at it, it will do the same; encourage the roots to spread more rapidly.
Sorry that it’s been a while since I’ve updated. I’ve been experiencing health issues; making caring for my plants extremely difficult. Often times, they are running dry, wilted and clinging to life. I’ve only been dumping a large cup of water on each of them, as pain levels allow. I’ve been feeling some improvement the last couple of days, so I will get some pictures posted after lights on.
Unfortunately, all are still in 1 Gal transplanters or Solo cups. They’re showing a few deficiencies and obviously root bound, but transplants will clear that up. Until then, I feed them some much needed tea today.
They don’t look absolutely horrible for the lack of attention. A couple times, I added some earthworm runoff juice into the water, that I dumped on them. Other than that, they’ve been just sucking the soil dry of nutrients.
They have tight node spacing. I’ve been running the driver around 40% power, with great penetration. I found it to be the sweet spot for these particular strains. I just kept on, regularly, adjusting the light height.
Functions have resumed, and so, I’m back to normal, tolerable, again. At first, I didn’t wanna over do with anything to strenuous. I have lost a lot of muscle and weight.
I needed to get lots of transplants done. I’d gone through my last batch of soil, so I pulled out the concrete mixer for a small run. It still has a few more days cooking time, but plants were in desperate need.
