Could these be close to a half pound each?

I prolly got like 13 or 1400 watts total

What am i looking for in a good quality led light?

Just trust me and others bro it’s what I did and the vipar spectra 600v is amazing. Z NET 12 has 35k lumen which is better than the vipar, depends on your price range but I’d go for 2 of those cob lights personally someone will link you in no time. Rederoldo or something

Ill spend whatever i have to on the girls. Thank you for the help. Greatly appreciated

There are a bunch of good LED’s out there, it depends on what you’re looking for in a light.

I have 2-300w MarsHydro LED’s that are in my flower tent. I love them. Before they were flower lights I had them in my veg tent and they worked great in veg too.

I just bought and hung up 2-300w Roleadro 2nd Gen LED’s in my veg tent. It’s only been a week, but I can tell that the ability to move 2 separate fixtures around the grow tent has proven to be an amazing feature. I was using a 600w MH light, but it’s a big light and I needed to hang it high because I have all sizes of plants in my veg tent. Now that I have 2 small fixtures instead of one I’m able to focus the light in better areas then before. I love the Roleadro’s already though.

MarsHydro, GalaxyHydro, ViparSpectra, Roleadro, and Meizhi are all good lights that many members own and use.
I would look around, and look around some more lol! There are a bunch of threads on the forum about LED’s tho, we’re actually going to build a DIY LED in a new thread, let’s talk DIY lights.

My advice would be read reviews. Read all the good and bad from multiple different sources. I’m cynical in the sense that I don’t trust anything a manufacturer has to say. They want to sell a product and will tell you just about anything to do so. Not all manufacturers are dirt bags of course but assuming that they are initially will save you a lot of heartache and time.

I have only ever used HID lights and small LEDs as supplementary lighting so I don’t really know. I will be bringing everything inside once winter hits though and in a much tighter space so I’m considering LED as well.

Yea i have 2 hps/mh 600 lights as my main lights, i just wanted the leds because of what they do to the buds. Thank you guys for the input. Another quick question. Do the leds have to have uv and ir or will the girls do good without uv or ir?

I don’t believe it’s required no. I have heard that UV lighting may increase potency without producing much extra heat. It wouldn’t make sense to require both since UV and IR are at complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

Such a wicked community man, and a good detailed post by Mr HC I have to say. I stopped around for leds for months honestly, just so much to choose from! Thing o like the sound of with cobs is that they spread light more evenly and at the moment I’ve got patches with less light dude to heat issues and not being able to smash all of them on  sucks I have to say. Will sort the next grow out properly, just hope this one yields a nice amount as I invested pretty heavily for my financial state… sorry I’m rambling, have a nice day/night/week everybody

Yes im building a 10x8x10 shed an im gonna put a veg room an a flower room in it. Yea i def want to get 2 more led lights an 1 more hps/mh . my plan…2 600w hps and 1 600w led in the flower room an a 600w mh an another 600w led for the veg room. This is gonna be awesome. What ever i yield in this storage room is prolly 40-50% less then i would using a legit grow room

Hey guys, quick question, well i talked to the people who sold me the shitty led light. They wont exchange or give me my full refund but i got a %refund back . i paid 52 an they gave me 50% back an let me keep the light. Win win for me cause i told them it was defective an all. Anyway my question is, im assuming they put a crappy 100w driver in the light. Can i put, lets say a 300watt driver inplace of the crappy 100w they have in it? Theres 60 10w leds, so imo they should be able to handle 600w max rite? But if i go with half that, it shouldnt burn them out quick ect ect. What do you think guys? Letsput our stonded brains together an come up with a way to make this panel light better. I just want to try this. If it burns the lights out whatever. Idc. Im buying new ones regardless. So youguys wanna try an figure this out with me? Lol
