Controlling Humidity- Indoor

So I’m on my fourth week of flowering (Jack Herer breed) and I’m having issues controlling the humidity. Plants are healthy but my humidity % keeps creeping up when lights are on. During 12 hour light I’m at 70%. 12 hour dark running about 58%. Temp range between 75-77 F.

I have good air flow and ventilation is on max. I don’t really have room for a de-humidifier. Buds are just now forming and I know I need to get the humidity down below 60%, closer to 50%. Suggestions are definitely welcome. Cheers.

Its hard to battle it i struggle with it also but as long as you have good air flow you should be ok :+1:

You need to dehumidify your lung room. Replacing 70 RH air with 62RH air will not drop it

When I went to 77 degrees down to 72 degrees the humidity would peak. Even with 35% RH in the lung room the duct had to be on 7 to flush it down to 55%
Use the properties of air and humidity to help you. Both RH and temp are lower at floor input and tent top extraction. If your incoming air enters from 5 feet up it will be warmer and more humid than floor.

If your lung room is more than 55% all the air exchange will not bring it down enough.

Heats coming in from the bottom through the black duct seen in the pic. I guess I’ll try dropping the heater down to 70 degrees when light are on and see if that brings it down a bit.

Lights on in flower 70 is to close to bare minimum for my anxiety to deal with. 75 appears to be ideal.
Do you have any other entry for just clean lung room air at the bottom of the tent? Literally I use a 3 foot tube of flex duct at floor level insect screens and a cheap growee sensor to monitor RH and temp of incoming air.

Yes I do! Great suggestion.

The growmies have you covered so I’ll just add you have a nice looking grow in there. Plantastic lol. Hope you get your issue resolved.

I am just a little bit ahead of you and have throttled down to 52% at 77 degrees and 73 degrees at 47 %. During day to night increase duct pull by 1 or 2 steps to help with transition ( hot to cool ) humidity spikes as tent cools down.

I use a smart plug and when I check my hygrometer remotely I can kick my carbon fan on if I need to pull some humidity out.

It’s also available on a timer.
