It was a non fem seed so it was always 50/50

I would have to agree with your view of Gelato, indeed a great strain… happy growing 
I’m all about chucking pollen so I think it’s a great idea, just separate them because that male pollen will travel far and fast with the wind and insects. Depending on if your doing a flower or seed grow ?
