CCB has you covered but if you have a moisture meter, stick your buds with the meter and if it reads 10-12% you should be good to go.
Right on. I planned to put them in sweat bag at 10 to 12%. I wanted to use the grove bags for the smoke quality stuff and just qwet the fluffy parts.
@Caligurl
I didnt decarb before qwet. I over soaked and now its not pleasent to smoke. You mentioned to decarb in the oven at 200 about 50 min.
240F for 45 minutes
Thanks!
And then only use 1g for a whole batch of gummies?
Im used to using several tbls or 1/4 cup of oil, butter, or tincture.
I put 1.3 grams of full spectrum oil in to deliver 1 gram of THC. We do 40 gummies with that to give us roughly 25 mg. per gummie.
Question,
First, decarb, 4 ounces crumbled weed.
Grape seed oil bath at 240 (1 quart oil).
Eyedropper doses for coffee or Margaritas.
Will it work?
Weed bud less than premium as I have it mined for seeds and what kief was released.
Does it need shelf aging before doing the cook?
No aging needed but don’t know if you’ll reach peak potency cooking flower in oil. Probably be a good idea to do a trial batch first then scale up.
words to live bye, thank you.
Thank you @Myfriendis410… it was an early night for this girls LOL… I’ve got to stop working so hard
Newbie here.
Are there DIY kits out there where small home grower can measure THC content in bud or like this thread, concentrates?
Thanks for the timely response. That’s quite a bit out of my price range.
Suspect technology will advance and prices will eventually come down.
For concentrates you can safely assume approximately 750 mg thc per gram of concentrate. You would need something like a T-Check to test flower.
Anyone have a good gummy recipe for a 3-4 oz box of jello? I’ve been looking here but just found 1 for 100 gummies…
Web searches don’t seem to have qwet…
My gummy recipe is up towards the beginning of this journal
This is one from @blackthumbbetty on @HobbyDobby thread and may be of assistance to you also
The last batch we did was with Starburst brand and it was only 4.0 oz. compared to the 6 oz. of Jello brand. I added 1 oz. of unflavored gelatin to mine and they came out fine though a bit tough.
Flavored Jello
1/3 cup of water
1/2 cup of corn syrup
1 tsp citric acid
My gummy mold is large so we only make 40 at a time at around 9 grams each. We shoot for a 25 mg gummy so 1.3 grams of oil.
Found it!
First hearing to use Karo Syrup…
For Citric Acid can you just use lime, lemon, orange juice?
I got Skittles jello in a 3.85 oz box so I’ll need to use some math…
