I have always wanted to build a micro grow. Something stealthy, that is mostly using diy or repurposed parts most would have easy access to.
What I would like to do is tap into the community here for different ideas. I believe that we can collectively come up with something fun and hopefully capable of growing a little bit of weed. I should have the resources available to cover whatever is needed. I’m thinking when it’s done I can journal some grows or get to someone that can.
To start, I would like to gather some suggestions on what to use to house this grow. PC case sounds fun, but there are hundreds of them out there. What else can we come up with?
I like this! How small are we talking? Those wheely hard case tool boxes for portability? Or a 6 pack esky?
A 20l tub reused from restaurants mayo/mustard etc.
I don’t know if this would qualify as micro but…
When I retired I had to bring home a bunch of 4 drawer metal file cabinets full of active client files (record retention requirements). Turn them into some sort of self contained rack system. It could satisfy the stealth requirement.
@TommyBahama@WeedGrower47 space bucket is on the table. I was hoping to do something that wasn’t neccesarily already on the web everywhere though.
@Davegreen I can make either scenario work. Something that could hide in plain sight I would guess. I think most would feel bigger is better.
@beardless if I had one laying around I would do for sure. But I would like to be easily repeatable without spending a lot of cash. They’re not cheap if someone had to go out buy.
I thought about something I saw in my scrap metal pile after you mentioned it the other day. I would try an old microwave. I redid my kitchen to all stainless and had a old one.
The mini fridge sounds like a great idea , maybe with working beer/soda tap ! I’ll donate the tap ! I have a broken kegerator outside now that I’d be willing to switch over. …Such an awesome idea . I have always wanted to turn a kitchen cabinet into a herb garden / “herb” garden lol.
Microwave sounds very interesting too!
