This is Coco. She was found while breaking down roaches. We planted her after we had Ellie growing for a couple weeks or so. They had a big fungus gnats situation and thanks for the neem oil mix we made. But I think that when that happened, Coco was much smaller and it’s possible that her fighting with the fungus gnats could have stunted her a bit…idk. I gave her about two oz of growth shot (California Super Soil) a week or so ago. I gave her some more yesterday. I know that every plant is different, I’m just making sure that if she needs anything that I can give it to her in time.
Any advice would really help my anxiety and definitely save my plant if it needs saving.
Ok! I’m gonna try that! The nutes I give her are to be fed once every 45 days. Being a first timer can be stressful! I’m literally obsessively watching them! Thanks for your help!
Yeah, it looks well fed. You can definitely skip a few feefings and just water. When the tips of the leaves start turning brown, its too much. You are right on the mark it looks… keep it like that the whole grow and you will have great buds. Do you have a TDS meter?
She looks healthy. Let that soil dry out shell be ok, but the fungus gnats will not. If her leaves are out and not drooping she needs no water. Cannabis likes dry periods followed by adequate watering. Also, make sure to have a fan circulating plenty of air in there so Coco is dancing…waltzing not headbanging…helps strengthen her branching structure and keeps gnats at bay. That soil looks plenty moist right now, so no need for water.
Thank you so much for your response! Yes I have one and I used it for the first time today a little while after I had watered her with the neem oil mix. It was well over 7, almost 8 ph. I made a water bottle for the next watering and the ph is at 6.5.
This is the kind of meter i started with before i discovered that they arent accurate at all. These types of meters do not give accurate readings and your plants will suffer the consequences.
You need a good meter like an Apera or BluLab or Hanna. These are the only kind that are reliable and get the job done. Look into one of these.
Thank you so much! The picture of them smaller (Ellie and Coco) are from July 6th of 2023. We got our grow tent kit on the 10th of July and transplanted them both into 5 gallon fabric pots. They have lights, fans, a dehumidifier and lots of space and love. Here’s one from today
Hey everyone! Here’s an update on Coco. She’s growing but still seems like it’s slower because of the way her leaves crinkle. The new growth is curling. Don’t have the finances at this moment to upgrade my PH meter, but I gave her ph water at 6.5 two days ago. Today I gave her some nutes (Same as her sister Ellie) just waiting for her leaves to grow a bit bigger so that I can LST her in the trellis.
Thank you all For your support! Truly helps me to build confidence as a grower.
I’m gonna apologize in advance for tagging you guys so much! But I’m a first time grower and need to learn as much as I can from this plant and its growing experience. Coco has something going on and I haven’t figure it out completely. You guys suggested that her PH might be off, so I made her a 6.5 ph bottle of water (16.9 ounces). My husband watered her and didn’t use the sprayer liquid got on her leaves.
She’s not growing as much as I believe she should. And now her new growth got some brown spots on them. Her new growth is curling and twisting and her leaves look like they’re stuck from growing out into big fan leaves.
Gave her nutes yesterday and noticed the brown spot this morning. Must’ve been there before feeding the nutes.
