Coco Growers- do you add Langbeinite, Gypsum or other minerals?

@dbrn32 I will quit advising this then  It is not often I need to change any thing. If I do add some cal, it is for one feeding. But I don’t need to be miss leading any one either. Jack’s can pretty much run on auto pilot  And I know the GH enough to not have issues often with it either.

I don’t know if I mentioned it. For my close I just got from a friend. It looked hammered like that too. After a few weeks in a bigger pot. It straightened right out

I’m certainly not one to want to change how you do what works for you. Your grows certainly support your methods as being successful. But not everyone has same abilities to look at plants and make small adjustments on the fly without skipping a beat. In those cases, it seems more stuff that goes in the more difficult it is to correct.

The only time I use plain water is when I rinse or hydrate a brick. If hydrate only I add calmag.
After I prep the coco I then soak in Jacks. When the plants get water - they get Jacks too. I know if I don’t feed them they don’t get fed. Just like me, I hate to miss a meal :hamburger:

Same here. I don’t rinse the coco, I just hydrate it with full strength Jacks at a pH of 5.8 and I’m good.

Yup, sounds like you over did a couple of things. I simply hydrate my Cana coco with full strength Jacks. Let it sit a day or so then into bags and it’s ready for planting.

Many of the other cocos you see people using have to be buffered and rinsed and stuff. But not Cana coco. That’s what makes it so nice to use in my book

Ditto, although I buy bagged so I don’t re hydrate bricks.

Hello my friend, I just hydrate the coco with full strength jacks don’t worry about the fines and from there i put in the clones or the seeds and water to runoff everyday keeping pot size appropriate to plant size potting up usually from double solo( clear inside opaque) to 1 gallon to final home only adding myko to imprinted area at transplant and never ave any deficiencies unless I let the ph get out of range which is quickly fixed by feeding with correct ph. ALWAYS FEED TO RUNOFF EVERYDAY. My latest grow in the big room is chopped and as drying getting g trimmed and jarred done less than half so far and have 21oz

Still learning here sorry. When you guys say soak in full strength jacks do just mean in the regular jacks321 solution?

She does yes.
However it’s not needed as canna coco is pre buffed.

Hey sorry for the tag but was wondering if any of y’all had any recommendations on where I should set the height and power to on the 350r got 2 going in my 4x4. If anyone knows anyone else tag em I just ran across a thread and seen y’all talking about them so figured I’d start there. Thanks in advance

Did I get too much light with the two hlg 350r’s? Was talking to my brother(he’s an engineer ) and was look at the specs and said it would fry them. Haha he’s smart but overthinks a lot but was just curious

Know your DLI and you can find that out and avoid it in the future, as well as dial your lights in.

Ooof so I’ve already smoked a fat bowl so forgive me but just from watching a bit of the video (still gonna watch it when it’ll make better sensešŸ˜…)and your response as well as kinda looking at hlg. I’m guessing I did over kill it ?

Look at it this way. It has a dimmer knob. Drawing less than full power will extend its life and be more efficient. With two you will not miss a square inch of canopy surface that is for sure. It sure is a nice light

Yeah I guess that’s one way to look at it. :man_shrugging:t3: My mistake I guess should’ve done better research.

To be honest I’m not exactly what the issue is we are talking about, I scrolled up a bit didn’t see a picture that clued in or anything. @beardless is right however I run mine at full blast lol. My powers cheap. Though

Thanks for the tag. I run four 260 rspecs in my 8x4 and they’re flat out. My height is around 20 inches but I watch my node spacing as well :face_with_monocle:

Yes, the bricks have to be hydrated before use. Canna coco is great in the you don’t have to wash or buffer it. Just mix up I believe it’s about 2 gallons or so (can’t remember at the moment) of Jacks solution and pour it in the bag and let it sit overnight or until is all hydrated.

Yo, Snek. What does diatomaceous earth do for your plants? I recently used some just to get rid of fungus gnats. Is it actually nutritious in some way?
