Cmh lights for tent

@dbrn32,

I ran a 315 cmh in a 3x3 for a while, Over the last 25 years, I’ve pretty much ran every type of light, except the latest leds, which will be my next purchase. I had to duct fan the 315 tent as well to keep temps in the 70s. So needed good ventilation with either light. The 6" 400+ cfm fans I use, only use 40 watts so we got 315+40=355 for cmh +fan and 600+40=640 for hps + fan. A difference of 285 watts.

So it really works out closer to 1.8x the power and getting almost 1.5x the yield - from 380 grams to 560 grams on average. Well worth the extra $11.29 a month to me. I harvest every 2 months so paying $22.58 more for 6.5 more ounces doesn’t justify it? It does to me.

Which 6" fan do you have that only draws 40 watts?

AC Infiniti Cloudline S6, amazing fans.

Are they as quiet as people say. I run mine in my bedroom at the foot of my bed. I have 2x fan in the tent then I have a 8" fan blowing on my ballast and a 6" vivosun on top of tent for exhaust. I did buy the 6 Infiniti carbon filter

You know every time I see you and your avatar I squirm… LoL… Everytime

At the lower speed settings, up to about 4 or 5 that I use after lights out, it’s pretty quiet (enough to sleep with, as my tents are in my master bedroom), but at top speed (8) it’ going to make some noise, but it’ more of the air moving thru the ducting sound that is noisier than the fan itself.

I do like this fan though, bought 2 more for my other tents.
