Thought i share my mess up. Gg4 photo not ilgm seed. But It was an exceptionally hot day yesterday, around 90 and dry heat. 8 of my clones were showing healthy roots, some were pushing like 2 inches. So i got the pots ready. Had the great white next to me to coat each root zone. Pulled out the clones into my backyard and within 2 min. About the time it took me to plant 2 of them they went into a crazy looking shock. All the leaves curled up in the saddest way. Realizing this i rushed everything inside and finished transplanting. Spraying each of them. Hoping for the best. 3 clones were doing fine but the 5 others were not in good shape. I kept spraying the leaves with water and put a dome on the poor girls. And this morning i was surprised to find out how strong this plant really is. I would say they all bounced back considering what they looked like the night before. Idk take a look.
This morning.
This was the 1 that was laying on the soil.
These 2 still look pretty bad. They were damaged beyond i think. That curl in the leaf happened to all the clones then they drooped down.
Amazing how tough these girls are
Yeah, I’ve got 2 tops I cut off my two ladies. Had them under a T5 light in my seeding dome, the other day figured they could handle the main tent on the floor about 3 feet from the light. Nope…within hours one looked like shit. Two days later, the other one started to curl up too. But nowhere near as fast or as dramatic as yours! Hope yours all pull thru!
Mine are both back under the T5 light. Too much bright light too soon.
Man a few of them did crash pretty hard
But you did great with them
My condolences for the shock and panic attack. It hurts to kill one of your own. I stepped on these (the threesome), twice, last month.
630 lady laying down, has since recovered.
They are hearty or forgiving, or both.
We’re they in direct sunlight when they revived? (the ones that did)
Gg4 is my favorite girl. Last bean went 9 gens clone before I switched strains a bit. Very hardy. If they all rooted i bet all live. Sunlight shocked them. Gg seems to like a little less light. I would acclimate them maybe morning or evening sun and indoors as it rises. After a week or so maybe try some stronger sun. Just me. I like indoor but grow lotsa diff stuff outdoor in pots.
Oh yeah the roots were healthy. And they did get hit with maybe 10 seconds of direct sun. I put them under an umbrella to do the transplanting. But it didn’t help much. here is a pic of the roots.
I like the gg4 stain too. I’m hoping for the best but I’m not sure about the 2 smaller and more burnt ones. They are still standing with a green stem but they look so sad. And the 1 that was lying on the soil then made the come back is now unhappy again. I’m keeping the domes on them and spraying them incase the roots were shocked and not drinking. I got more clones coming from the mother plant. My first time doing a mainline and manifold to a plant so I’m cloning all i can from her.
Good save.
Yeah you do not want to expose bare roots to air or sun. Both dries them up. I leave my plugs in the tray until its receptacle is ready.
Go ahead and remove the wilted leaves & branches. Only the strong survives.
I’d consider taking new cuts off the healthier of the plants. They may be behind in growth, but that’s a small hit compared to 2-3 less plants. Can’t hurt
Edit: take cuts when they are big enough of course lol
Thanks. Will do and we’ll see how many live.
@StankyDank239 yeahI could always clone more from the mother. She is shooting up. I gotta think about a scrog set up soon. I got 5 more clones waiting on roots to pop out. Soon i hope. they’re on day 12 under the dome.
If you find trouble getting roots in the dome, consider trying a cup of tap water. I’ve done it. Works like a charm. Takes about 10-12 days for roots to get going.
All the cups with soil are all cuts transplanted from the cup of water after rooting. Some have been in the cup for weeks & still look great.
Good Morning All!
FNG here
How do you go from hydro rooting to soil?
A friend gave me 2 seedlings in FFOF.
They took off!
I miss understood him and trimmed the smaller of the 2 , 1/3 up.
I immediately put the cuttings in a glass of tap (well) water. It took 3 days to YTube cloning and buying and receiving an:
OxyClone OX20SYS 20 Site
The plant was maybe 6 weeks old from seed.
Adams had a mini greenhouse on sale and an awesome helpful Garden Manager.
One of the cuttings was a tad mangled so I experimentally sliced up the shaft at the 45⁰ cut.
I used RootBoost on the 4 cuttings.
I am sure the RootBoost washed off the cuttings due to both the air and water pumps cavitation.
Much to my glee, all 4 have rooted!
Now I am planning on bedding them individually in 2inch Coca (cups) within 1 gallon planters filled with FFOF. My thinking is (please adjust me if necessary!)
Nutrients will flow from FFOF thru cup and coca medium to roots.
Also I will powder roots and coca with Big Foot mycorrhizae.
The Mothers will be brought inside to max veg after my tent is setup.
Wish me luck on my first of many!
ILGM SSH seeded plant trim cutting 7-1. Still living and still 20 inches in length.
She will get soil some day soon when more roots are present.
She has grown slightly. Yes, she is too big for normal easy clone, but Im feeling lucky. We both live for another day.
I feel lucky with you. She is green. She is rooting. Good signs.
Today i moved her into a gallon jug.
Distilled water
