Thanks a Million @Caligurl & @kaptain3d. Diatomaceous Earth is in. Spray will be here tomorrow. Will also wipe down the tent for good measure.
Tuesday update: Damn Thirps! Thank you @Caligurl. I Drenched the soil and sprayed the plants over and under the leaves with Captain Jacks. 2 more days of spraying.
The last 2 waterings have only been 6.6 PH water. The last fertilizing was 3 weeks ago. Added some COM B&B and at @merlin44 suggestion, a half dose of FF Grow Big to boost the N at the start of flower to help the last production of leaves and stretch. Starting a batch of Bobby’s Brew Flower Tea for the Friday morning watering. They should be dry by then. Other than the Thirps and the one GSCX they look good. The one Mystery plant is turning purple. Cool to watch. Running at 1100 ppfd at the tops and around 850-900 in the mids.
Then there are these 2 little turds. I added some DE just in case the thirps spread. They are a little slow going. I have the humidifier on and the heater blowing in the teen. The office is a bit warm but manageable.
Your plants look awesome!
Thank you @merlin44. We’re cruising right along. Mid to late June these should finish up. Then I’ll veg out those tiny plants into big ones. I hope you and Mrs. Merlin have a good day.
Tuesday update and nothing to update. Start of week 5 in flower. Done with the Dead Bug, added the tea, moved them around a bit and waiting for them to dry out before next 6.8 water only. I may add the last feeding of the flower amendment. Other than that it’s a waiting game. First three are the GSCX, the last two are the FB420 plants.
And just like that you can screw up your plants. One day after the last post
I should have taken a pic before I trimmed off all the dead and dying yellow leaves. I watered the 4 in the corner plants with the tea. Not paying attention I forgot to PH the tea. DON’T BE SO STONED CHUNKY!
Anyway, I took soil samples from the 4 and ran a slurry test. PH 5.7. So today I go and pull my regular tap water which is 8.1-8.4 ph. What the hell it’s reading 7.1. Recalibrated the pen 2x and same 7.1. Damn water company.
I just went with that for today’s water and ran it with 20% runoff. PH out was 6-6.1. and over 4k ppm. In 3 or so days I’ll see if the water company reverted otherwise I’ll add some baking soda to 7.5 and see if that helps.
It also could have been the Captain Jacks over 5 days too. Who knows? I sure as hell don’t
Update Now it’s damage control. In Week 6 of flower. Plucking dead leaves. Water tomorrow will be 7.5 to get the soil PH up above 6.1. It’s cruise control now. I get what I get and can’t get upset. 2 of the GSCX I started to make qwet for some chocolate. Hope that the other 3 end up okay.
Middle to late of week 7 of flower. I scoped the Mystery #7 and she was ready for the chopping block.
The rest of the tent needs more time. The center one is the Gorilla Cookies and will be up next. The other three will go at least 2 more weeks. One of them I am going to let turn 30%+ amber for that sleepy sleep high. The other two are going into qwet so I need to decide to pull them a little earlier to maximize the THC level.
Now for these two, The small one is Purple Haze and the taller one is the Sodies, Corner Store Slushiex Guide Dog. They both got off to a rough start. and look like they are starving. They most likely used all the nutes in the 1/2 gal of soil so I moved them to the 5-gal with a 50/50 of FFOF-HF with 1/2 cup of COM Stonington Blend Dry amendment. I may hit them with a shot of Grow Big at the next water for a quick feed. Topped and started some bending on the tall one. I’ll start bending the Purple Haze in a couple of days.
Harvest congratulations Sir @ChunkyMonkey
Thank you @kaptain3d Looking at it, it looks a lot like the FB420 Gorilla Purple Punch. That was one wicked strong plant. It got me way too high. I ended up giving most of it away. Free Golf!
Tuesday update… Chopped one of the GSCX yesterday. She was the first to sprout and flower. That one will be done drying tomorrow and will get trimmed. In the closet with the Mystery7.
Moved the next in line for the ax to the small side for another week and moved the two photos to the big side.
Both plants in the front need another week or three…
Now for the fun to begin! The Sodies and Purple Haze loved the transplant to fresh soil. It’s just what they needed. Added a top dress of 1/3c. @Roadsideorganics.ok Green Mountain Blend and some worm castings as well. They were topped and bent and bent and bent over again. I will probably flip the 4th of July.
Harvest congratulations Sir @ChunkyMonkey
Congrats
Thank You @Lightbrightt2010 & @kaptain3d
Congrats on the harvest!
Nothing really to update. Start of week 9. Still a lot of clear on the back 2. I need to leave town for 11 days so a heavy water today and keep my fingers crossed.
Well, after a trying two weeks, I’m back. The one GSCX on the small tent side dried out on the stem. Buds were crunchy, so I just threw the 2.5 trimmed zips in a grove bag. The humidity came up and stabilized at 70%, so into a paper bag they sit until we get to the 60% mark. That one was for qwet anyway, so no love lost. The little Gorilla Cookies is one stout girl. Frosty and dense. Currently hanging in the small side. I can get the atmosphere between 72 and 67 degrees and 64-57 RH, depending on the time of day. Sorry, no pics of those two.
A before shot, when I got home, of the Purple Haze
Then, after defol of the rest of the tent.
I plan on flipping to 12:12 as soon as I pull the last GSCX. Had to tie up the colas, they were falling over. The first time this has happened for me so very exciting!
This is where I need all y’all’s advice. Should I pull it?
Smoke on Bud Brothers & Sisters. Have a great Fourth of July!
