Chinese rosin press

I go real slow as well. I don’t really time it anymore I just go by the way it’s looking and cut it off when I see that I’m not getting new rosin flowing out.

Again though pressing Kief and pressing flower is a whole different game. Much lower temps, slower and more gradual with everything is necessary.

Definitely is… 1 thing I can think off is the kief not been fully dried

Probably could be drier. I made it on a Friday and left it out on a cookie sheet to dry overnight and pressed some on Saturday.

Makes me wonder if stainless bags would be any different. I’ve never tried them.

Never seen any 1 use them so idk.

The press club is quality stuff I use the same bags kmky ever had one blowout.

Hmmm

Over filling them?

Possible. I’m doing between five and 7 g worth per bag in a 4 ton press.

I’m likely going to do some experimentation this evening so I will definitely try filling it less.

I keep going back to the quality of the material. The stuff that came out of the finest two Bubble bags pressed so much easier than this other stuff I’m trying which is from the coarser bags

Ok…. This is just for knowledge gain and direction.

What the benefits of different pressures? I see all kinds of options…

It also seems a 6 ton DIY press could cost as much as a press that’s already assembled. Thoughts?

Personally I’m happy with mines that’s 1500lb. I press 10g and I’m happy with that. So i don’t need nothing big but if I was pressing alot than maybe a 4ton because of bigger plates

I agree @NeoGroR the cost of dulytek and dabpress has been great, I think buying a premade press is fine. I would go with the dulytek and get the rack to use drip tek.

Unless your going to invest more money,
Low temp plates are the hlg of rosin press plates, but it’s costly.

My biggest advice would be to understand what you want to make and what scale you want then decide what device to use.
If I had known my girlfriend only wanted cartilages I would have never got a rosin press.
Otherwise rosin is great because it’s solventless but it will never be as potent and will always smoke more then other concentrates due to the fats and waxes.

The funny thing neither my wife, myself or my friends have ever had a concentrate other that a vape pen bought from a store. It’s just something I want to try now that I have 2lbs of weed on hand.

What temps would be considered low?

What temps have you used to extract rosin?

The dullytek 7ton with drip tech stand is very well made ,nice press :ok_hand:

Anywhere from 160-240f cold pressing or hot pressing.

@JJ520 yes it was what I was going to get but I got this 300$ special and it does the job.

Hey guys what is this for?

My press came with it and i have no idea what I’m supposed to do with it. It’s like silicon I think.

Gonna b your best friend bro… it’s a heat mat w.e it’s called. It don’t melt at all and helps you extract your concentrates its not sticky at all. If u don’t got a cold plate this can work as 1

Do I use this instead of parchment?

You could do that but I still use the paper so I could keep pressing

Do not put that in your rosin press no lol, rosin terps go through silicone don’t use silicone on your rosin long term.
Use glass jars not silicone ones for example.

@CoyoteCody uses the mat when he presses and gets good results.

Terpenes break down silicone its not a good idea you can’t see it but your getting silicone in your rosin. That’s what the rosin group I follow with professionals says.
I have done my own research on it but I would stick to parchment paper.

It’s the same reason glass jars and not silicone jars are used by most concentrate suppliers.
