Nice. I love it. LST looks great. Will you keep your lst ties on now? I’ve been thinking about undoing mine as the stems have woodened up.
At this point there are few ties still pulling out. But lots are doing nothing and will take those off. Had to pull the branches out wide to keep that many colas, or it would have been too bushy inside. The 7 gallon pots helped me to tie it wider. Just fed and watered, both plants are on point 6.5 ph and ppms of 1050 and 990.
They are thirsty. 2 gallons each every other day and not much runoff.
Buds are starting to develop. Doing an every other feed water cycle now with them taking 1.5 gal every other day. 7.5 weeks from flip and 5.5 weeks from sign of flower.
Love it. Buds chunking up nicely. I used three gal bags this time, but thinking like you, I like the wider reach of the bigger bag to spread and tie. Guess we could net?
Also I set my mephs to one side like you were talking about. How did you feel about that? Not sure I liked it to much. It felt like I was committed to LST only one way.
Up in the air about offsetting. Like you said kind of committed to running the top to the other side, which does work really well when done. I’ve seen people start in middle then just kind of keep it moving around the edge of the pot. If I do any autos next time, I want to top one of them if it is healthy at about 4 or 5 nodes.
I’ve started topping mine. If they are healthy around day 21. I’ll check nodes and if her neck is up. I’m gonna chop it.
After posting the pics, I looked at the third pic down and said what is going on? Opened the tent, it was a bit of frost, that photographed yellow.
The other nice thing about bigger bags is you have to hand water less. They are thirsty in flower. I imagine, I would be watering these daily in a 5 gal bag.
My 5 gallon I watered 2 gallons about every two-three days. The three gallon kind of becoming a chore. Looking into self watering base. Have you tried. (And I think I’m going back to 5 gallons). Is the 7 gallon to much you think or are you happy with it?
If they fit in the tent, I like the 7 gallon. More room to water if you train them low. My autos were in 5 gallon. With the photos because they might grow a bit longer, I went with 7 gallon. And I had the room. Next Time 3 in 4x 4 and one in 3 x 3. Might try and fill the 3 x 3 with scrog.
Hmm. Eventually I want to run photos in a scrog. The two 5 gallons in my 4x2 had me full. My problem is I’m limited by width so getting a nice bush is someone limited. You in 4x4 can have some trees.
8 weeks since flip. Pistils starting to change color now. Watered and fed today, both were happy right around 900 ppm and 6.8 ph. I am managing the use of FOOP, pretty much how you would with synthetics, just no salt build ups. Putting a list together for the fall. Decided on auto pots in coco and perlite. Think 3 pots in 4x4 and one in 3x3. I want to leave be able to leave for 4 days knowing plants are being fed. Will need 2 resovoirs. I have to rearrange the tents and put a stand between them. Going with Jacks or I have seen some having success one part mega crop. I want simple.
Tagging you @Indacut as you are also using FOOP. How is the grow coming?
Tagging @OGIncognito as I know you are in auto pots and used jacks and mega crop. I also may pick your brain a bit before I order from auto pots if that is ok?

Since it is Friday night and work week over,
, going to smoke some of the hash I made a little brick of. In my mind I am thinking of retiring in next 18 months. Stressful job, ready to do some other things.
How many tops on that? Going to tag along as you venture into the world of auto pots.
Retirement a long ways off for this guy. Young 52. I left a stressful job a few years ago. My blood pressure went down and I lost weight. Actually got healthy again.
It’s close for you. Big plans? Buy another tent. ![]()
It is a lot of tops, no monsters, but they are firm. No big plans in retirement. First grandchild was born a few weeks ago in Ca, so more visits out there. Youngest daughter is getting married in 8 weeks, this grow and dry need to end before that😂. Getting a 24 Mx 5, in August, probably do auto cross events, if not they are just fun to drive. Got the manual, need to bone up on my my shifting. Only commute once a week, so I got a fun car to replace an older car. I look at numbers all day, IT data analytics, and am just ready to move on. @Flatnut
@patrick1960 congrats on “grandpa” status. My grandkid about to turn 3.
That lil car will be fun to drive, and a manual. The pep will be great. Cross country events? All I see in my head is ole Burt Reynolds and Dom Delouise in Cannonball run. You driving that car to CA?
I was a repair tech on electronics for years. My son IT guy. He’s 28 and chomping at the bit for more. He just finished his first big project he was lead of.
That AK47 is looking like a beast! Its been ok on this end I have to do a couple water only waterings. My numbers are just weird. I noticed a changed in my leaf colors once I did feed the last nute feed.
Congratulations on your first grandbaby!! And retirement! ![]()

I think I kind of figured out how to use FOOP. The input PPMs are pretty low when you mix according to their instructions, but coming out always higher. If my runoff PPMs are about 1000, I do a water only next feed. Instructions say feed no more than twice a week in soil. I messed that up early on. I have been pretty steady on run off numbers, since going to an every other water feed routine. FOOP needs to be ph’d. After mixing I am about 4.1 PH, then add lots of PH UP to get to 6.5 or so.
I wasn’t testing PPM for majority of the time. When I started someone said the PH was the most important focus on that. Then later on as things started going left. I was told the opposite so now its a lil of a struggle getting it together. I thought I was going to be good my last watering which was only half nutes but the outputs were still higher. I’m hoping after plain watering a couple times it starts to balance out. The one is like 3 weeks into flower so, I don’t want to mess that up. The other one is 7 weeks so not sure how much damage as been/can be done there. Just praying for good finish
I am not an expert by any means, but I would continue with ph’d water only til you see runoff ppms come down less than 1000. Once there, I would continue with their suggested feeding schedule. It seems this stuff once mixed, the PPMS runoff will be higher than input. For a full strength feed with ph up and ppm from tap water is around 600 to 700 or so. I was seeing runoff over 1500 when feeding too much. I do not think there are any salts to flush, so you just need a bit of runoff to check the numbers with. The other thing in soil you should be doing is a wet to dry cycle for your soil. Wait til it needs watered, then give if a full water or feed. Make sure runoff ph is in line too. @Indacut
I do let it dry out before watering again. I tried what you said about having a lower ph in vs the out and it was still over 7 out. Its just weird. Will probably be a few watering before it levels out it seems. My PPM was under 1k but the Ph was over 7. However the PPM was still more than what I was putting in. So I was told log it more to see if its a pattern or just an odd off situation.
