She’ll be okay. I just transplanted and where my first leaves were is now underground. Your plant looks healthy and about to explode in growth.

Just like @Sixpackdad said, those first single finger leaves will yellow and fall off anyways. You can leave them until then or take them off, either way is fine.

since im a newbie i had to wait 24 hours to reply so i just created another account. this is Plant-B, my second plant & i had the same problems with it. i might just cut the bottom leaves on plant A & see what the difference is between the two.

Hi - do you have digital ppm and pH for measuring the water/nute solution you are adding and the runoff that comes out the bottom (you want around 10% of what you put in to come out the bottom)? Your plants right now, if they are in brand new soil, will not need a lot of nutrients, if any.

plant A & plant B were planted October 23. i didnt transplant Both until Nov.13 i use FoxFarm ocean forest. i noticed when i joined this that everyone was saying i should have a digital ppm meter & i dont. also i noticed a digital ph meter is also good but i used the drops that change the color. first grow & im a amateur at this. ordered a digital ppm meter & ph meter. so honestly i have no idea what the Ppm is on the run off but even if i Test the run off Ph will that give me a idea what im doing wrong?

Also i dont water with tap water. i use distilled water & i label the Gallons. “New” or “Cal-mag Added”

@Sixpackdad Is it safe to add cal-mag to the water that im about to add or just stick to regular Ph Distilled water

I don’t know much about using distilled water. I have well water.

What’s wrong with your tap water? Is it well water or town water? Purchasing store bought water sounds expensive.

tap water has a really really high Ph where im at & i can see bubbles & stuff floating around in tap water & i would honestly rather give them distilled water.

i have both plants in 2 gallon smart Pots & wanna know if its safe to add the 2mL that is recommended on the back of the cal-mag.

Also i have added 0 Nutes to these two plants.

Sorry, I don’t know much about it. I haven’t used distilled water and I have not had to use calmag before.

Yes, always add Cal Mag to distilled water.

Watered both plants with Distilled water-CalMag added. & im hoping they react good to the up in calmag but is it time for nutes? i have added 0 Nutes & these plants are a little less then a month.

This is my last plant my oldest. planted september 20th. & i tried the Nasty Tap water with this plant & it turned out so bad. also used the recommended Nutes to add & i honestly think i burned it so bad. im thinking about just chopping the yellow dying leaves & hoping for the best. i havent added nutes in over a week & the leaves are getting yellow & Dying even after a flush.

Is it safe to give up on this or just cut the bottom leaves & hope for the best?

I learned to start Nutes with a 1/4 of whats recommended but it literally my first plant & my first nutes batch. i had to throw away the whole gallon of Tap/Nutes water.

My advise stop touching your plants so much.

Take off all those brown, dying leaves, and don’t add any more nutes. Just water with plain Ph-ed water.

This is how the plant C with the Nut burned looked after i cut about 20% of the yellow leaves. it spreaded to mostly all of them except a couple & i didnt want to cut over 50% of the leaves so i just did a couple & im hoping for the best. maybe its time to give up on this one. (my oldest & my first)

The other plants are new 2 week old plants. one is doing so much better than the other & i did the wet paper towl on both at the same time. Why is one growing way faster then the other? is this normal & does it look good for 2 week?

Just leave her alone and let her recover from the nute burn. She might still make it. Different plants respond differently to nutrients, this one was a little sensitive to it.
