I run far-red and photo-red while the main lights are on during veg and flower (Emerson Effect). During flower, the mains & photo-red turn off and the far-red stays on for 30 minutes. According to Bruce Busby (spelling???) I could go to 14/10 with this arrangement.

Thanks Kap! It was was early when I first wrote that. I lazily copy/pasted and didn’t even bother to proof it again.

So no one answered my question… does the 13/11 improve quantity or quality of buds? Is it worth the extra 3 to 4 weeks?

Sounds like its more of a stress reducer? LEDs can be pretty rough. Dispensaries want a quick turnaround so if they can make dense nugs as fast as possible I doubt adding extra weeks is going to do much but ripen. It won’t make lesser nugs get dense, they have to develop from the beginning tightly. However, I could be talking out of my ass from lack of experience quite possibly.

I can’t say yet, it’s my first time trying it. But I’m very confident I’ll like it.

Will be nice if it works out as intended. I think I’d be bored to death waiting another 3 weeks to harvest. Veg is my fav stage. I mean don’t get me wrong seeing colas plump is nice but it’s kind of like watching smelly paint dry.

Please keep.me posted on any new info you get and how it works out… i might try it next grow

Today I’m pruning and shaping the last 2 plant then going to flip prob Saturday. Picking up a 30gal and 55gal barrel today so I can do even less during flower but make maybe 1 or 2 res changes.

I’ll be posting the progress of the NL #5 in the growoff thread and in my journal you’ll find more pictures of the NL and my current tent going through that 13/11 process…

IF you’re interested, just click my name and you’ll find a link to my current journal.

Anyone have a guide on building a scrubber box? I have a 4" carbon filter and exhaust fan just cleaning the lung room but it doesn’t do enough when I’m trimming and inspecting. I really don’t want to move my huge laminar flowhood into the lung room. Thing is a beast 4ft long by 2ft tall and almost 2 feet deep. That and it uses like $600 99.9% hepa filter I don’t want to waste. I used it working with mushrooms.

I thought about this but not sure it will tackle odors.

Maybe fill it with activated charcoal or something.

@Serf It will to certain extent we used water filters on continuous miners and diesel Ram cars underground coal mines for dust but when they get dirty you can smell but char coal might be the route my friend happy growing

I never ran a side by side, but I’d say yes, more weight. More bud sites and fuller stacking always equals more weight. Is the trade off on speed worth it for the individuals needs? That’s the question I’d ask myself.

Box enclosure with filter intake and carbon filter out. Basically a DIY room scrubber.

I had to put a filter on my air intake. I used the carbon filter and the box that came with a 4in inline fan the guy threw in for free, when I bought my tent. I switched which end of the fan the filter box was connected to. I had to do something to keep out all the dust and animal hair out of my tent. 3 dogs 4 cats and 2 acres of dirt and prarie grass makes it hard to keep up with. Since I’m not worried about the smell of marijuana growing, I figured that would be my easiest option, plus it was free.
