Cash Crop 5.0 - 6 Plant LED Hydroponics Grow Box” looks perfect, do you agree?

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

“Robert mention a professional grow tent and refer to Dealzer. I want to grow just a few plants (<6). The Dealzer “Cash Crop 5.0 - 6 Plant LED Hydroponics Grow Box” looks perfect. Do you agree? If so, should I go for the 3 ft high or 2 ft high version?”

First off 6 isn’t just a few plants for a hobby grow. Trust me when I tell you indoor growing is a lot more work then you think, and a lot more expensive then you think it will be.
Those of us with 6 or 7ft tall tents still run out of room and have to train plants not to grow to tall. Again, a lot of work on a daily basis. I suggest you start with 2 plants in something like a 3x3x6’ tent. You can get one for around $100 The tents are cheap, everything else in the system is the expensive part. Especially the lighting.

I’ll play devils advocate here with @Rugar89. Not because I disagree with him, just to give another perspective.

Most people that buy those boxes think they’re great, but wish they had more room. Just like rugar says. They also usually end up upgrading some or all of the components within the box, so keep that in mind.

But I do believe they can be an easy hassle free way to get started. You just have to keep reasonable expectations. You’re not going to grow a pound of weed in them. A few plants wouldn’t be a problem if you limit the veg time. One is probably a good place to start, and learn how it grows. And despite what they claim, you’ll still need more stuff to successfully complete your grows. They do however seem to give you a neat and tidy product, which is important to a lot of people.

I would definitely go with the tallest option that you can make work. And soil may be a better option to start with. It can be difficult to manage water temp in a small reservoir contained within a small space. Not impossible, but could require additional components and/or constant monitoring.

I just wanted to recommend cutting that down to four plants at most. I’m on Day 58 of my first grow and I wish I’d started two less plants. It’s super tight quarters even in my large tent (8x4x6high). I can’t actually reach the far side of my back row of plants without some ninja flips and gymnast contortions (also im 6’4" and thin so reach isn’t a problem). Two less plants would have given me perfect access to all of em. Also I think six is too many for the coverage area of my 600w hps/mh bulbs and hood (good idea to check into coverage area lol).

Just two cents, maybe less.
