Carbon Filter Cover

This is the filter i have. 4 Inch Carbon Filter-Tent Grow Plants Filter, Odor Control Growing Tent Indoor Plants Inline Fan, Reversible Flange 4 x 14 Inch 210 CFM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VKJG4DQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_pDI7FbKPE8SVG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It came with a black cover. Ive see photos of people using the cover in and some with it a off in the reviews. I would think it would work best with it off? What do you guys think? Or is the cover important?

You would be surprised how much junk collects on the covers over time. I would use one if you have it.

Definitely use it. I’ve seen those covers go from white to black with the amount of stuff it catches. Plus it’ll catch little pests who fly too close. Help expand the life of the charcoal inside

They may be pushing air through the filter instead of pulling it. If you’re pushing the air through it, it doesn’t do anything so you can remove it.

You can extend the life of your filter by only using it during flower. Most of the time in veg there isn’t a need for it. Plus if you are using a humidifier during veg, the moisture can clog the filter up.

That would be your pre-filter to catch the Dust, you can also wash them and reuse.
