Capt.Cola's 4/20 auto grow

You would want to FIM now or soon? @Not2SureYet when do you FIM your autos?

I waited until the 5th node to do mine, but mainly because I was pretty nervous about cutting them. But I am a first timer. I am sure the others with more experience will chime in. And yes they do look real good. :beers:

If you’re insisting on cutting, do it just as the 4th node emerges.

What methods do you use? Just some lst? I am open to suggestions you might have.

Thanks!!! I liked how my first grow with autos went and will probably stick with them for a while. Worth trying if you have the space.

They’re definitely gonna find their way in somehow :joy:

Wait for @Not2SureYet to weigh in: he has really good timing on top/FIM of autos. Seriously; listen to him.

I no longer top or fim my autos. Just personal preference. I will LST the hell outta them though :v:

I smoosh a screen on top of them for about 2 weeks.

Why do you no longer fimm or top? I’m going to lst them hopefully to increase yield.

Thanks for the video @blackthumbbetty.

My experience has been that every time I have, I end up with bonsai plants. There are others here that have great success in doing so. Just doesn’t seem to work for me. :v:

As @blackthumbbetty stated FIM at the 4th node aka now.
YouTube to help with a step by step.

@Not2SureYet has Fim’d his autos right at the time of stretch so like three weeks in or so.

But your growing in soil not coco, i have Fim’d autos in soil and 4th node is ideal.
If you do fim you really don’t have to do any LST but if you have the time on your hands do a little and it will help just go very light with it because the FIM is a medium high stress training method.

@Nicky is right in I do mine about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks in. Depending on plant size. I never count nodes. How ever. looking at a few pictures. I would guess I may be at about the 4th or 5th node on some as @blackthumbbetty mentions. For my self. I would rather top late as to early. Since I am in scogs. I more or less let that be my guied now. I let it grow to a point where once I top it. i still have about 3" from my screen. That way. it is 50/50 if I need to super crop or now. That was a good vid Betty. I am going to have to search those pots out. I need some thing like that for the mainlines I am trying.

I am not sure to be honest. I have only had a couple come out. So I am not really sure what I should be looking for. @Myfriendis410, @MattyBear, @dbrn32, @Covertgrower, @Missiles what do you think
